About this property

Maison Catalano

Nestled in the Castellaneta countryside, surrounded by wheat fields, vineyards, and centuries-old trees, and just 5 minutes from the sea (with ample free and/or paid parking), you’ll find Maison Catalano.

Easily accessible via State Road 106 (the “Riva dei Tessali” exit is located 600 metres from the entrance road), Maison Catalano is the ideal place for those seeking a secluded spot where they can reconnect with nature, without sacrificing the opportunity to visit the beach and/or explore cities of art and sites of historical and cultural interest.

For example, the following destinations can be reached by car:
- Castellaneta Marina beach in just 5 minutes
- Ginosa Marina beach in just 10 minutes
- the Castellaneta and Ginosa ravines, 20 and 25 minutes away, respectively
- Taranto, the city of the two seas, in 25 minutes (via State Road 106)
- Laterza and its Gravina, considered one of Europe’s largest canyons, in 35 minutes
- Metaponto, a city of Magna Graecia, in 15 minutes
- Metaponto Golf Club in 15 minutes
- Matera, the city of the Sassi, in 40 minutes
- Alberobello and the Itria Valley in 45 minutes

...and many other destinations in Puglia and Basilicata less than an hour away from this oasis of tranquility.

Maison Catalano is located on the ground floor of a farmhouse dating back to the 1930s. The entire building was renovated (both inside and out) in 2018 and offers guests a home of approximately 150 square metres, equipped with all modern comforts while, at the same time, preserving the history and atmosphere of a rural home and providing the ideal setting for a rejuvenating holiday.

The house is very bright year-round, warm in winter thanks to radiators installed in every room, and cool in summer thanks to the new air conditioning system.
Maison Catalano consists of a living area with two spaces: one serving as a living room/dining room and a comfortable open-concept kitchen with a laundry area and a storage closet.
The living/dining room features two sofas, a chest of drawers, a fireplace, an extendable dining table, and two display cabinets containing sets of dishes, glasses, and tea/coffee sets available for guests’ use.

As shown in the photos, the kitchen is equipped with appliances (induction cooktop, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher) and kitchenware to meet every need. The laundry/storage area features a laundry sink, washing machine, clothesline, iron with ironing board, and vacuum cleaner.
Two of the three French doors in the living area open onto a patio where you can sit and relax surrounded by flowers and fruit trees.

The sleeping area features a spacious master bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds, both elegantly furnished with period-style furniture.

The sleeping area is completed by a large bathroom equipped with a shower stall and toilet, as well as a smaller but functional bathroom. The final room in the house is a small study with a desk and bookshelf.

Soggiorno come in famiglia - Aufenthalt wie in der Familie
