Family stay at Porto de mos

Absolutely gorgeous property which is even nicer than the photos. Very comfortable, lovely pool, lovely airy bedrooms. Decorated to a high standard. 5min walk to a lovely beach. You need to take a cab to town if it is hot as too far to walk but cabs are very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay.

Fantastic house in a great location

This property was exactly what we needed for our family. It was spacious and clean with comfortable furniture. The pool was great for days we wanted to relax (definitely pay the extra to have it heated) and the breeze you got opening the windows was so peaceful. Location is perfect, walk to the beach and two restaurants and super close to the supermarket. Dream vacation and we will be back!

Firstly this is a really nice clean villa in a fantastic location - 5 min walk to a beautiful beach and a couple of nice restaurants and only a few E in a cab / 5 mins drive into Lagos as well as local supermarket. It’s well located to explore other coastal towns and villages along the Algarve too Would I recommend this villa - yes The reluctantly lower review score is due to the following;- unclear and also inaccurate extra charge of to heat the pool - which is a must I’d say unless in the absolute peak of the summer - so just ensure you factor this in before booking - we had an issue with the jacuzzi with the temperature dropping after 2 days and never recovering making it unusable - as guests we don’t feel the agent responded appropriately and in summary they didn’t really believe we had an issue with no agreed resolution so we feel the extra charged which wasn’t clearly stated at the time of booking was poor value and not a true comparison of cost when comparing against other villas we were consideringAll that said which was frustrating - we had a very nice holiday and I would recommend the villa overall

Dear Dan, Thank you for your review. We're delighted to hear that you had a good holiday and enjoyed the villa. With regard to the pool and Jacuzzi heating, the system was set to maintain the temperatures requested, with the pool at approximately 28–30°C. During the first few days of your stay, the exceptionally hot weather meant the water temperature actually exceeded these settings. When you contacted us with your concerns, we arranged for the pool maintenance company to inspect the system. They confirmed that the heating was operating correctly, with the pool measuring 30°C and the Jacuzzi 33°C. As the outside temperature dropped later in your stay, the water may have felt cooler by comparison, although the actual temperature remained within the expected range. We explained this at the time, you didn't mention this again until your departure day and to provide further reassurance, a member of our team also visited the villa with a pool thermometer. We checked the temperatures again on the day of your departure, and the pool was still measuring above 30°C. You also raised concerns about the pool heating charge, as you felt the information in the property listing was not sufficiently clear. We appreciate that this was your view and understand why you queried the charge. However, based on the recorded water temperatures and the confirmation that the heating system was functioning correctly throughout your stay, we were unable to agree to a refund of the pool heating fee.

Great property and Area

The property has 3 large on suite bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The pool and jacuzzi was great and in the two weeks we were there was tested and cleaned at least 4 times. There are six sun loungers, which was enough for our party and the beach is about a 10 minute walk. Lagos centre is a 10 minute taxi ride and costs under 10 Euros.

Great property with a view

Although the pics looked great, the actual property was even better. A short walk downhill to the beach, a nice charcoal BBQ, good size pool and outdoor jacuzzi. A great view from the master balcony. The area has a great walking trail and some nice restaurants to visit. The host provided us with a few drinks and snacks on our arrival. Only downside was that it was light on the amenities - we had to purchase soap (dishwasher, hand, laundry, shampoo), toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and charcoal. Not a big deal, but we needed to get it the first day as very little was provided.

Great villa with lovely sea views.

Great villa for a family with lovely sea views. Location is perfect for beach and Lagos town a 5-10 Uber drive away which was on average 5 euros. The bedrooms are all large and all on the first floor with en-suite bathrooms. The pool is a great size as is the outside patio area with a jacuzzi. It was well worth getting the pool heated! Kitchen is very well equipped and great outdoor BBQ. It was lovely to have a welcome pack of milk bread cheese etc especially when arriving so late. Large local supermarket only a 5 minute drive but they do deliver if you don’t have a car. The local beach is lovely with a new roof top bar at Antonio’s making a fabulous place for sunset. Couldn’t fault this villa and the hosts that were very helpful. Thank you

Die Villa ist sehr gut gelegen, nur 10 Gehminuten zum Strand Porto do Mos und ca. 8 Autominuten in die Altstadt von Lagos.Das Haus hat helle und großzügige Räume, die geschmackvoll eingerichtet sind. Leider sind die Bäder ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen.Der Gesamteindruck wird leider durch den Außenbereich getrübt. Schmutzige und kaputte Grillstation, ungepflegter Jacuzzi, kaputte Fliesen, rostiger Tisch und Schirmständer, etc. Kurzum: für die Preisklasse werden wir dieses Objekt nicht mehr buchen.Die Abwicklung über die Agentur war sehr einfach, das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Kleine Probleme wurden umgehend gelöst.

Ich kann das Haus nur empfehlen!Blöd war das eine Rollade kaputt gegangen ist und wir immer ums Haus laufen mussten um an den Essenstisch zu kommen. Das war schon eine kleine Einschränkung.

Great Villa in Perfect Location

We were a group of 6 friends who stayed in the villa for a week and had a great experience. Location was excellent - it was a 5 minute walk to the beach, 30 minute walk/5 minute uber into town and 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket Intermarche. There is also a lovely cliff walk next to it. The pictures didn't do the villa justice - it was huge, more modern that expected, and comfortable. Highly recommend getting the pool heated as it would have been freezing even in August. Thanks again for a great stay!

Great stay!

We were doing some remote work with four colleagues in Villa Jessica. The house was very clean and the location was great: 5min walk down to praia porto de mos. The pool was very nice, it does take 3 days to heat it up so we should have requested that before our arrival. The owners responded to questions quickly and thoroughly. We had a lovely stay!

La Villa es muy amplia con piscina y jacuzzi. La playa magnifica a sólo diez minutos andando y un sendero natural al borde de los acantilados se llega hasta Praia de Luz
