Great property and great location if going to the formula one for the weekend. It was clean and tidy. Nice little touches with milk in the fridge and biscuits in the tin. Overall, great experience.
We chose Frankel as it was between my sister and brother's homes, and we had some important family tasks to perform.
Our hosts were fabulous and accomodating (eg providing tools when we needed them), and Frankel was large enough that my siblings could visist us.
An added bonus is that Frankel is positioned between two pubs, one a true "local", dog-friendly village hub, and the other, where we ate one night, serves good food (don't know about the other as we catered for ourselves or were at family events the other nights we stayed).
Me and my wife stayed in Tim and Nicky's converted stable Shergar. It was used as a base for our trip to Silverstone for the MotoGp.
The property was well catered and had everything we needed as per the description. Parking was not a problem as the yard is very large. Our welcome was greeted by Nicky and we were made to feel welcomed too.
We would have no hesitation in staying again or recommending the property to anybody looking for a short break.
Unfortunately due to our routine if being up early and back late we did not have a chance to have a look around the local village at all but driving through it had a quaint country feel to it and it would be nice to return at some point to see what it has to offer.
Thanks for a lovely stay.

Thanks for this lovely review. It was great to meet you both and we’d be very happy to welcome you back again any time!
We stayed for a couple of days during some very hot weather that meant the room was pretty warm. Good outside area where you can pass the time away.
Good place to stay if you like walking.
We walked to Stoke Bruerne along the canal and over the fields where the tunnel is. Going the other way we made it to the Wharf pub.
This property was so cute and perfect for those who want a quiet place to stay with more amenities than what a hotel can offer. Our hosts went above and beyond to help us with information and transportation and were very friendly. The location is definitely easier to reach if you have a car and there are train tracks just behind but they are not too loud. Overall, we had a great stay!
I am writing on behalf of my colleague who actually stayed in the property. He was very happy with the cleanliness and overall feel of the place. He loved the rural location and said it was little quiet haven to retire to at the end of a hard day's work. It had all that you need for a comfortable stay and was a good base. Communication with the owners was very quick and they are extremely friendly! It is such a lovely place that we have booked repeatedly this month!
The property was spotless and ideal for a couple. The owners were very helpful and friendly as were the locals. Went for local walks along the canal and to local pubs/restaurants. We had a great Saturday night in the Walnut Tree Inn dancing to the rock band. Also, visited Bletchley Park and Woburn Sands for the womens golf open. Overall a lovely relaxing holiday.
Once again a faultless stay in Frankel. The studio is welcoming as are the owners. No negatives as all.

It was a little peice of heaven
It was everything I was hoping for. As a business traveler, I had all the luxuries of home. It was clean and well maintained. It had a small couch, club chair, a frig to put everything in and a stove to cook with. I stayed in the Frankel and I will come back again.

Clean and bright and welcoming. Able to adjust temperature to suit, which was a plus
I booked this for my parents and they loved it. Easily accessible, which was a must.
The only downside was that the television is very high up on the wall with no adjustable arm. It cricked your neck to watch and couldn't be seen from the bed.
However, everything else was perfect

Charming accommodation and owners
The accommodation is spotless, comfortable and well equipped. Nicky and Tim made every effort to make our stay a success. Our dogs benefited from their kind attention while we were out, an unexpected treat( as all dog owners will be aware). Really enjoyed the relaxed stay we had in lovely time.

About the host
Hosted by Tim and Nicky Chapman
We are both now semi-retired. Nicky's work has been in higher education student recruitment and marketing, where Tim has been a Bookie! We both still pick up odd bits of work or consultancy here and there but, in the main, we are happy to be at home and to take time ensuring our property is of the highest standard for our guests whilst, at the same time, delighting in meeting new people and ensuring that they have the best experience we can provide. We also have a large family of 5 children, all with partners and some with children of their own - we love spending time with them all and this property allows us to do this very well (we usually block out the weekends when they are all coming to stay as there isn't enough room in our house for all of them!). Finally, we have a fabulous Labradoodle named Herbert. He's such a lovely boy and a great hit with our guests. However, if you don't like dogs, or if he is a bit too 'present' during your stay, just mention it to us and we will have a word in his ear!
Why they chose this property
We bought Grafton Villa back in 2005 and have been ladelling on the love (and emptying our bank accounts) ever since. The renovations have been a real labour of love but we do love the property and feel very privileged to live here, so the love is sort of a natural part of it all! Getting the outbuildings renovated (the cottage we did in 2009 and the stables were both finished in 2014), has meant that we are able to share some of this privilege with others, which has been great. We have met some wonderful people from all over the world, many of whom come back to visit us time after time - so we guess we are getting it right!
What makes this property unique
you have your own front door. You can spend your entire stay in isolation or stop for a chat, whichever better suits your mood. We are, however, on the same property footprint as you so you will see us (and Herbert) around and can always knock the door if you want help or advice on anything to make your stay more interesting or comfortable
