Chalet Vetera 223 is a spacious, split-level five bedroom apartment, with a generous 165 m2 of living space in a great location near the town centre. The open-plan living room/dining room has huge windows offering magnificent and uninterrupted views across the valley beyond.

Comfortable and traditionally furnished, the chalet was built in the early 1990s by a renowned local architect and has been owned from new, by the same family for 2 generations. It has a warm, homely family feel to it. It sleeps 10 adults, no bunk beds, so it's equally well suited for a large family or group of friends. It perches on the mountainside of Verbier just below the Main Street, in a very peaceful setting with large south-facing balconies on both levels.

The space
The first level comprises of an open plan living room with wall-mounted flat screen satellite TV, two sofas, two arm chairs and dining area seating for twelve. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a large bar/serving hatch to the dining area. The hallway has plenty of hanging space for all of your ski clothes- boots and skis can be stored in the ski lockers.

There is a good size twin/double room and a single bedroom with a second pull-out bed, a family bathroom and guest toilet on this level. The large south-facing balcony runs along the front and side of the apartment. Wooden stairs lead up to the second level.

The second level comprises a north-facing master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room; A family bathroom and separate toilet with basin; a large twin/double bedroom with lots of cupboard/ hanging space with French windows to south-facing balcony; a long room with a queen size bed and a further single bed which can double as a sofa, with French windows to south-facing balcony. There is also a large TV and DVD in this room.

This apartment benefits from very fast WIFI as well as two satellite digital TVs with multiple international channels. Books, board games and DVDs are available for guests' use as well as a high chair, toddler toys and cot if required.

Two ski lockers and a covered car parking space can be found on the ground floor.

Great location! Awesome view!
Our group of 9 really enjoyed our stay. The chalet was spacious enough for all of us with lots of amenities. Location was great - close to supermarket, restaurants, bus stop to Verbier or even a short walk to lift. The view from our balcony was magnificent! Looking out the balcony in front of the fireplace was my favorite thing to do after a long day on the mountain.

Exceptional well equipped central maisonette
Lovely well equipped aptmt on 2 floors with ample living space, 4 loos, 2 bathrooms and a shower room en suite. Easy walk to local bus stop, ( just 2 stops from Medrane) and supermarket close by. Very well presented and clean and highly recommended for larger families or groups. Fabulous views and covered parking.

A really light, airy appart with good size rooms
It was well equipped and comfortable, with STUNNING views, in a very quiet part of Verbier but very convenient for the supermarket, just 2 mins walk, and 4 mins walk to the resort bus up to Medran (starting point for lifts) Room sizes are generous compared to other apartments we've stayed in, the kitchen was a galley kitchen but well equipped and we cooked for 8 pers with no problem every night.

Why they chose this property

The family bought the chalet 25 years ago.

The property has a wonderful light airy feel and has the most incredible and uninterrupted views of the mountains from the big windows and balconies. It is ideal for two families with children or large groups. It is very quiet and you are never disturbed by any party noise. There are enough blue runs for beginners and lots of challenging black runs, it suits every level of skiing ability and everyone can meet for lunch having skied in different areas.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is spacious, very peaceful and you can enjoy the lovely views of the mountains - we love the sunrise and sunset. The skies are really clear from the balcony and the stars are really bright. The supermarket (Migros) is really close by, which is handy if you run out of anything and unlike many chalets in Verbier, you don’t need a car.
