The Light House makes for the perfect escape for discerning guests seeking somewhere light, airy and stylish for the break. With all accommodation arranged on the ground floor, this coastal cottage has everything needed for a lovely holiday. The property offers two bedrooms, a double with a dressing table, and a twin bedroom, with both having fitted wardrobes and ample storage.
A quieter resort than some of its more famous neighbours, Flamborough nevertheless is still packed with charm and a good deal of local amenities, including a shop, pubs, restaurants and even that seaside necessity, good old fish and chips. Bird watchers flock here in droves to visit RSPB Bempton Cliffs where you can see puffins between March and August. For a good, old fashioned day at the seaside, head to the spa resort of Bridlington which boasts heaps of activities and traditional seaside fun. Or, head north along the coast and enjoy a day in Scarborough, visit Robin Hood’s Bay or go and shop, eat and maybe take a boat trip around the traditional harbour in the very popular coastal town of Whitby.
For a change of pace, York is a must and history buffs will find much to explore. In the same vein, the area also offers lots of stately homes including Sledmere, Burton Agnes and Burton Constable. Why not take the land train, which travels along the coast up to Sewerby where you can visit the famous Sewerby Hall and Gardens? In fact there is so much to see and do that you are sure to return, just to fit it all in, and having fallen in love with the Light House, you are sure to return there too. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
