For a relaxed, family-friendly coastal escape in Devon, Littlefields is the perfect setting. This beautifully designed open-plan cottage sits in the traditional seaside village of Seaton, just a short walk from the town centre, esplanade and beach. Whether you dream of sunny days with buckets and spades, autumn strolls along the Jurassic Coast or cosy evenings by the fire, Littlefields delivers year-round comfort in a home filled with character.

Originally a farm cottage owned by the same family for nearly a century, Littlefields was renovated in 2020 and reimagined as a bright, modern retreat—perfect for families or groups of friends. Inside, the mood is relaxed, contemporary and welcoming. The stylish open-plan kitchen and dining area is ideal for big family meals, with bi-fold doors extending the living space into the outdoors during warm weather. After a day by the sea, pour a chilled drink on the terrace while the children explore the huge 45-metre garden, or slip into the soothing hydropool spa—a must-have luxury for unwinding.

As evening arrives, light the woodburner and settle in. Littlefields features two beautifully furnished lounges, offering plenty of space for families to spread out. The main lounge seats four comfortably and is perfect for movie nights by the fire, while the second lounge provides a peaceful hideaway for reading, games or quiet relaxation.

Fresh Escapes provides detailed arrival instructions and a curated local guide so you can experience Seaton like a true insider. Professionally managed and maintained, the property ensures a smooth and stress-free stay from start to finish.

Beyond the cottage, Seaton offers classic seaside charm and endless family-friendly activities. Spend a morning paddleboarding at the beach—Seaton Bay Watersports is just moments away—before enjoying a delicious coastal lunch at The Hideaway. Nature lovers will adore the Seaton Wetlands, where guided wildlife trails provide unforgettable close-up experiences.

The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with fossil walks, dramatic cliffs, and fascinating visitor centres like Seaton Jurassic and the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre. Picturesque villages such as Beer, Colyton and Lyme Regis are all within easy reach, offering historic streets, artisan shops and stunning coastal views. For day trips, the vibrant city of Exeter is only 35 minutes away.

For a holiday filled with fresh sea air, coastal adventures and the simple joy of family time, Littlefields is your perfect Devon escape.

we had a lovely time staying at LIttlefields. The property, especially the main kitchen, dining and entertainment area was perfect for our weekend away- for cooking, relaxing in the hot tub and long lunches and dinners. The location was easy, a little far from the town centre on foot, but not bad. A few small issues- the dryer didn't work properly and the kitchen lacked soem essentials like tea towels and enough cutlery for the four adults, but all in all a great stay.

Visit to Seaton

The property was very warm & comfortable. With excellent facilities, everything was in good order. It had everything that we could need, with a super comfortable bed! The house was well situated, which made travelling about the area very easy. It was great sitting at the table watching a large selection of birds playing about the garden, we had a lovely time

Nice time in a nice place

It was another beautiful time in a beautiful house. Unfortunately, there was a place in the garden with a lot of garbage. We send a photo so you know what we mean Photo from jomeev@gmail.com

5 relaxing days

we loved the house, everything was of good quality. the large garden was a plus, and 5 door window were open most of the stay enjoying the sea air. Fresh milk on arrival was much appreciated. Hot tub is very nice as well as bbq. Uber didn't turn up but bus stop was nearby and very convinient. a toilet upstairs would be better, even thought bathroom downstairs was amazing especially the large shower. Pub is not walking distance. Quiet location and friendly neighborhood.

We had a lovely time exploring Devon and Dorset and this property provided the perfect base

We had a lovely time exploring Devon and Dorset and this property provided the perfect base. Property was as described with a lovely open plan kitchen, diner living space. Overall we had a nice stay there and would recommend to others who like us want to explore the local seaside towns… Sidmouth and Lyme Regis being our favourites. The house is just looking a little bit tired in certain areas and you can tell it’s had lots of wear and tear over the years. Just needs a little bit of a love to bring it back to its best.

Beautiful house in a great location

Beautiful house in a great location, just 20 mins walk to Seaton town. We stayed here to run the Grizzly run and it was perfect for what we needed. The hot tub was great after a tough hilly run! The house was clean and the kitchen area was large and a great space. There was plenty of utensils and towels etc The TV would not work it just came up with no signal.

Lovely property in a good location

Lovely property in a good location with beautiful scenery and surroundings. The place is beautiful and spacious and the hot tub is a lovely addition. Property lacked personal touch and could do with more ‘essential’ items especially in the kitchen.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay at this property. It is decorated nicely and has modern appliances

The property was clean and comfortable. In particular the open plan kitchen, dining room and seating area was perfect for a small group to eat together and play board games. No saltpepper was provided and the coffee pods were the incorrect ones. Spare cleaning cloths would be handy.

Great stay

Lovely location for beaches such as Beer and Branscombe. House was beautifully done, cosy and great base for the surrounding areas. One slight problem with the bath but it was fixed so quickly without any issues. Would definitely recommend - thank you
