Spacious Open Plan House in Central Windsor. Dog Friendly + Off Street Parking!
Open plan lodge house in the heart of Royal Windsor. One of the only pet friendly properties with private parking in the historic Royal town.

A short walk to the town centre this modern spacious lodge house offers flexible living and great location from which to explore the historic town of Windsor as well as a great base to explore London and the UK.
The layout is largely open plan with a sitting room with vaulted ceiling and open plan kitchen along with a separate dining area. Two double bedrooms (both with UK king size beds which are equivalent to US queen size), a bathroom and a shower room. The dining area can be converted to an additional curtained off sleeping area with a double sofa bed if given prior notice .
Entertainment
The house has a 55 inch large screen 'ambilight' smart HD TV with Sonos sound bar that makes watching films a great experience, it is also on my Prime account. There is also a blu ray player and a large selection of blu-rays in the dining room. Both bedrooms also have TVs.
I have also provided a few other games for indoors and outdoors such as:
- swingball - boules - crocket set - cards, various board games & dominoes etc.
and can also provide the following as optional extras with prior notice due to them being in storage:
The house benefits from having off street parking for one car. If you require parking for an additional car I can supply 24hr on street parking permits at additional cost.
There is also a Sena Nuna travel cot/play pen with changing table attachment (guests to bring their own bedding for the cot).
Windsor is a very historic town close to London with its roots dating back over 1000 years. It was the official main residence of the Queen who lived in Windsor Castle, the largest and longest continuously inhabited castle in the World and is now used as a base by King Charles and the Prince and Princess of Wales. It has many shops and restaurants catering to the local and popular tourist market. It is also close to key train and road links giving easy access to London and the rest of the country.
Car Hire
If you wish to explore a little further afield during your stay there is a local car hire company only 5 minutes walk from the house on Arthur Road.
Breakfast Option
The local pub has offered cooked breakfasts as an option outside of their normal opening hours if pre-booked. If you are interested in having a breakfasts prepared for your stay let me know and I will put you in contact with the pub manager.

Whilst the driveway belongs to my house the neighbour next door has a legal right of way over it to access their garage occasionally. The house is next door to a primary school, so there will be some noise from the children during break-time in the week at school term times. Also due to Windsor's close proximity to Heathrow airport you do get planes flying overhead over the town and castle, this is something even the Queen has to accept!
Also, the house has a Ring camera doorbell security system installed that monitors the exterior of the house for security reasons and for when guests arrive.

Great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Many thanks for booking the Lodge.
Tom’s place was perfect for our stay, very clean with excellent facilities, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small outside space and private parking right next to the property. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year. Thank you Tom.
Our family had a wonderful time in this home in Windsor. It is in a great location, near the castle, town centre and train station. London can be reached easily by train.

Glad you had a great stay at the house. It was a pleasure to have you as guests.
Good location for getting around southern England by train. Lovely town with lots to do. Easy walking to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable place to stay.
This place is perfectly located- in the center of it all and yet, away from all the crowds. A 10 min walk to Windsor Castle, Alexandra Gardens, shopping. It was well equipped and perfectly furnished for us. Great place and we would definitely stay here again.
Had great stay for a week whilst working in the area. A real home from home. Tom looked after me well with great communication. Definitely recommended!

Glad you had a productive time and enjoyed the stay. You are always welcome to visit again and enjoy the place for a holiday break. So many great places to explore!
A fantastic holiday home in a lovely central, yet family friendly and very private, location. Ample room for our family of 4. Easy access to central London by train and less then £10 taxi to Legoland.
It's a holiday home that's really easy to use and enjoy.
We'll be back.
Spacious apartment, walking distance to everything
Great space for our family of 4. Loved the layout of the place and the amenities (games, videos). Good location in 15 min walking distance to Windsor Castle, shopping, River Themes.
Only complaint was primary bedroom has a very soft bed.
We were very pleased with our stay at “The Lodge” in Windsor! The location was very conveniently located, walking distance to pubs, restaurants and the castle! We used it as our base for touring Stonehenge and London prior to boarding our cruise in Southampton. Highly recommend!

Spacious, comfortable & Close To Everything Windsor!
My wife and I were visiting from the US and wanted to be close to Sunningdale, where I was playing in a golf tournament. The home was clean, comfortable and close to grocery stores and eateries. We also enjoyed having the private parking! Tom was very communicative and quick to respond to our questions. We would highly consider staying at this property on future visits!

Glad you enjoyed your stay and won your tournament! You and your wife were a pleasure to have as guests.
We had a wonderful stay. Our family was within walking distance as well as many of the things we did during the stay. There was plenty of room for our teenage girls to have their own space when needed. I would recommend a few more towels for the bathrooms and kitchen and throw blankets for laying around watching tv. Had to borrow some from my mother in law. Tom was quick with answering questions as well. I will definitely stay here again.
Tom is a superb host. Contact with him very easy.
The property is ideally located for access to thw Castle and.grounds, also close to the shopping area.
The property is lovely and there's plenty of room. Great idea having both bedrooms at opposite end of the.property.
Would.highly recommend and will be definitely using this propoerty again.
This rental was very spacious and provided ample room for work versus entertainment areas and great sleeping accommodations. The open floor plan was perfect. The location is also very convenient to grocery shopping, some local pubs and the train. We did not have a car but to be able to park in a private spot has to be awesome for anyone with a car. This was a great home base for us. We also really enjoyed relaxing in front of the TV with all the options for viewing on the nights we were not out roaming around London and Henley-on-Thames.
Convenient for access to shops and walking into Windsor centre, parks and attractions.
Was used it as central location for meeting up with old friends.
Welcome package was appreciated. The owner also made some local recommendations which was appreciated as well.
Home entertainment system provide plenty to do.
Given the onus on us and the potential charges for cleaning and dogs, we were surprised that we had to clean parts of the cottage. We pointed this out to the owner on our last day, after he asked for comments, but he did not respond.
In essence, we should have got a refund for the cleaning we did: especially to carpets. There also seemed to be a problem with the vacuum cleaner.
However, we didn’t let this spoil our time staying in Windsor.

Glad you had a good time.
It is normal for guests to clean up after themselves as per the terms on VRBO.
The property then gets a general clean between stays which includes dusting, vacuuming, wipe downs and laundry etc. This is included as part of the rental fee.
My family and I have just returned home after spending the last 8 night's in The Lodge Windsor.
The property owner had brilliant communication with us throughout the whole process. Check in was easy and he answered any questions we had via text within the hour.
The property was lovely and was just as it was described in the listing. It was large, spotlessly clean, smelt amazing and had everything we needed for our stay. My family and I ate in London for lunch and then cooked in The Lodge in the evening and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the property which worked well for us, but it is something for families to think about when booking, as this might not suit everyone. The smaller of the two bedrooms is up a small flight of stairs which again is something for families to think about as any night time toilet stops with young children might be a little awkward. Thankfully Tom has thought about everything though and has provided little stair lights to guide the way which turn on when they detect motion.
The car parking space is a godsend in Windsor and was a great place to dump the car without the stress of figuring out parking permits or parking charges. Our only little gripe though was people in the neighborhood took advantage of the entrance to the driveway and sometimes parked there to load/unload vans etc. They moved them when asked but the local shop owners should know better.
Overall an amazing stay.
A fantastic home with every conceivable amenity. Super clean and ultra modern equipment throughout. The best kitted out home we have ever stayed in through yourselves or other letting portals. PLUS a great host too!

Really glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for looking after the place, you are more than welcome to stay again in the future!
Excellent quiet property in an ideal location for exploring beautiful Windsor on foot. Great facilities for 4 adults with 3rd additional sleeping room. Benefits from safe off street parking on driveway. Well done Tom!
Excellent location and great to have off street parking
Would definitely stay again in this very centrally located small house with parking in lovely Windsor. Adequate size for our family of 2 adults and 4 children. Small issue on arrival sorted by Tom who was approachable and helpful.
Very easy process of booking, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

About the host
Hosted by Tom
I have worked in the London property market for 20 years and now manage my own portfolio.
Why they chose this property
I bought the property 20 years ago as an out building of an old pub and then extended it and converted it into what you see today. It has been a mix of my home and a rental property when I moved to central London.
What makes this property unique
This house is unusual in it being very open plan with bedrooms at opposite ends of the house away from the street with its own parking.
Most of the houses in the area are quite small over 3 floors and have no parking if close to the centre of town.
Along with the parking, my property is one of the only ones in the area that is also pet friendly.
