Ripped off...
We all left this house feeling totally ripped off... We had paid €3500 to rent this house for 1 week. For that amount of money we were expecting a very special experience. We did not get a special experience. This house was built as a B&B and has good sized bedrooms, but does not work well as a house to stay in. There is no room where you can sit and chat, apart from a small room off the kitchen, which is so packed with furniture you can hardly fit into it. Everywhere you move in the house you need to avoid furniture... The kitchen is equipped with lots of stuff you don't need... dozens of cups and saucers, but no mugs and tiny bowels that were even too small for the kids to have cereal in. The beds were relatively comfortable, but the sheets and towels were worn thin. There isn't a single view from any window downstairs. The owners are next door and watching every move but appeared to be nice until the day we were packing up, when at 10 am on the dot they essentially kicked us out and started cleaning around us. The house would have been fine at half the price we paid for it, but unfortunately we were completely ripped off for this week. Visitors we had during our stay could not believe what we had paid for it and we felt like eejits for paying that amount. Not only does this reflect badly on the property, but it also reflects badly on Love Connemara Cottages.

Lovely stay
We are a family of eleven who stayed at this property for a week in early July. We were blessed with fabulous weather. We were met by the very friendly and helpful Bernie. We had a great stay. The house was very well equipped with everything we required. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious with t.v in every room. There was probably too much furniture downstairs which made the house feel a bit cramped. There was plenty of parking out the back which was great as we had four cars, a boat and bicycles. There is a super bbq at the front with plenty of benches and chairs for outside dining. The house is in a fantastic location, a few minutes walk from the beach, village, shops, pub/restaurant and a hotel and lovely walks and cycles in every direction. A great time had by all.

10/10 Excellent

Super location and spotlessly clean.
We were a group with children over Easter. It was the perfect place for us, Bernie (the owner) couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating to us. The location is absolutely perfect too, local to a great hotel, gorgeous bar that does great food and the most stunning beaches you’ll ever see. Highly recommend.

Family holiday in Ballyconneely
Ballyconneely is a lovely location for a holiday. Beaches, scenery, activities on the sea, proximity to Clifden and its excellent restaurants a bonus. The house was comfortable, clean and spacious.
