Doonloughan beach is only a couple of minutes drive from the cottage, being a surfers delight and a walkers dream roaming the headlands & dunes, swim in the sea or have a picnic overlooking the panoramic views of the coastline, 12 ben mountains & countryside.

Connemara Championship Golf Course, Aillebrack Beach, Mannin Bay or the Coral Strand is a short drive. Why not pop down to Keoghs in Ballyconneely for some lunch and a pint of Guinness or take a drive to Roundstone a quaint fishing village with 2 stunning white sandy beaches (Gurteen & Dogs Bay). Clifden Town the Capital of Connemara offers gourmet restaurants, cafes, art galleries and beautiful boutiques.

Take a drive along the Sky Road or take a boat ride to Inishbofin Island. Visit Kylemore Abbey or climb Diamond Hill at the National Park where you can enjoy lunch in the Tea Rooms.

Comfortable and Homely

Our family have just enjoyed a great weekend in Little Tara. The house was spotlessly clean, everything in perfect working order, really well equipped, warm & cosy. Our host Veronica couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. We all felt very comfortable and at home, very tranquil setting, beautiful views. The location is so good, close to beaches, the golf course and Ballyconneely. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
