Lovely cottage in the rural mountainous area

A nice rural cottage for a quiet family get away. Enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful pine forests, full of hiking trails. Easy access to either north or south-west parts of the island, which lets you chose different activities and explore it. Ideal for someone looking to escape crowded touristic places and enjoy tranquility of the nature.

Nice place to relax

We had a wonderful time at the mountain house. The place was cozy and comfortable, with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious yard. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby nature, hiking trails and relaxing walks. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the house and the surroundings. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in the mountains.

Great location for access to hiking

My wife and I stayed here with our 9 month old son for a week during early April and enjoyed our time here! The house is well designed and provides very good access to some of the best hiking on the island. It’s well designed and equipped as we cooked some of our meals from home and lacked nothing. It also had all we needed for our baby including the host bringing a baby bathtub at our request! One thing to note is that the house has open ceilings so sound can travel. The location is up in the mountains so a bit further from other sights/attractions but still very manageable. Icod is a really nice town! Keep in mind that with elevation comes cooler weather than by the water however this is the best equipped house we’ve seen with heaters. Inside we were comfortable. All in all our week there was enjoyable and we miss it already!
