Location was amazing and house was cozy and clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessities. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. We loved our stay!
Wonderful place to stay!Everything provided! The upstairs deck is a plus!Loved how airy the house is. Comfortable home. Location is perfect for beach walking.Jim the host was very responsive to any questions or needs.Only suggestion is a bed in the downstairs room. One of our friends could not climb the stairs so slept on the hide a bed in the downstairs room.
Nice cottage just steps from the beach and close to restaurants and wildlife refuge on Plum Island. Well supplied kitchen with everything you need for a weekly stay. Nice place and friendly property manager who checked on us at arrival and was willing to respond to any concerns we had if needed.
Great place to stay within short walk to the beach and short drive to Merrimack River and Nature Preserve. Well stocked with everything needed for the weeks stay.
It was a great place to stay with multiple guests. The house was very clean and had lots of space.
I would love to come back in the summer and really get to enjoy how close the beach is.
This house checked all the boxes for us: A/C, 1.5 baths, upstairs deck, outdoor shower, grill, proximity to beach. The house is clean - some fixtures (e.g. couch) are getting old, but overall a great value and great place to stay!
This cottage was perfect for our family vacation on Plum Island. We’ll stock, comfortable with a nice out door second floor deck and a short walk to the beach across the road.

Location to the beach was perfect, but the house itself needs to be updated badly!Livingroom had a very old couch and there was not enough seating for 6 adults.Outside area could use a picnic table to be able to sit and eat outside.Jim was very responsive but the property itself needs a deep clean. We did make the best of it and we fell in love with Plum Island
The house was clean, comfy and convenient, also well equipped with cooking supplies and beach chairs, etc. and a quick walk to the beach. The gorgeous weather didn't hurt, and the beach wasn't crowded a bit, even on the long weekend.
Our family had a great time renting this Plum Island house. Close to the beach, river, Mad Martha’s breakfast nook and a short walk from the center. I would highly recommend it for your next vacation

Thanks Mark. I am so happy to see you have already booked for next year. It is a pleasure to host you and your family.
Stayed here for 3 nights to visit friends and family. Location is easy to get to, beach is just across the street. We were there in the after season so it is much quieter in the area (and some restaurants were closed for the season) but Newburyport is less than 10 minutes away and is always busy. Cottage is a typical rustic New England place, perfect for our needs.
I love this house. It's very inviting and comfortable.
Just a quick walk to the beach. I highly recommend this house for your vacation. You will not be disappointed
Beautiful home with a great view of the ocean from the deck. Wonderful location with plenty of parking. We stayed a month here in the winter and they had everything you would need for a long term or short term rental. Easy to work with the owners and plenty of privacy.
This is our 4 th year staying here. It’s just across the road from the beach, so that location couldn’t be much better!
The house could use some updates, but we’re likely to be back again next year.
Bill always responds promptly.
As a family, we've been coming to Plum Island for decades, and we've stayed at fancier houses, but the layout and space is perfect with kids, and I love a screened porch, and the upstairs deck is my favorite place to be with a book. The kitchen was well-stocked and clean, and the dining table fit us all for games in the evening. We look forward to returning!

About the host
Hosted by James Antonelli
We live an hour away in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After frequently making day-trips to Plum Island, then renting cottages for a week or two over several summers, we decided to buy a house here where we could build memories for ourselves and our friends. We love the quiet, the bird-song, the closeness of the beach, the summer breezes, and the way the landscape and the light are always changing.
What makes this property unique
Many of our renters have come back year after year when their children are young, and others have been people who once lived on the island and wanted to come back and visit. Winter tenants are often people considering moving to the island, starting a new job in the area, or making another transition. We think this is a house that welcomes people and wants them to feel at home.
