About this property

Large Grade II Listed 17th Century Farm House In Stunning Rural Location Near Ocean

The Manor is a large traditional Cornish farmhouse, set in a 35 acre estate, parts of the Manor are thought to date back to the 15th century. The house retains many original features including slate floors, magnificent fireplaces, and low lintels (tall guests watch out). This house is a terrific venue for family and friends gatherings and the sitting room boasts ultra high-def Smart TV, Blu-ray player and large wood-burner to ensure you stay cosy and warm on a cold winters night. Spacious, with three lounges and two kitchens, you will have plenty of room to relax and entertain. The home-from-home kitchen areas, with four oven Aga, is the perfect place for preparing meals. The formal dining-room is at the heart of the house, ensuring mealtimes are a real celebration. Upstairs there are six beautifully presented bedrooms, complete with crisp white linen and fluffy white towels. There are three upstairs bathrooms and large utility / toilet downstairs. The Manor has a beautiful garden and outside dining patio for al fresco dining.

There is shared access to a large indoor heated swimming pool (heated to 30 degrees), a games room, soft play area, outdoor play and picnic area. As a small-scale working farm guests can meet the friendly farm animals: sheep, pigs, chickens and horses, regular talks are arranged for groups that want to learn about the daily farm routine. The estate also boasts a 15 acre ancient woodland, which is alive with wild flowers, birds and a meandering stream, stunning at anytime of the year. Surrounded by unspoiled open countryside, coastal paths and beautiful walks and cycle rides, The Manor is the perfect place from which to go and explore the amazing landscape. The land borders the Coombe Valley where the river enters the sea at our nearest National Trust beach Duckpool, which is 1.5 miles away. Nearby surfing at the local beaches is some of the best in the country and the owners will be happy to arrange surfing lessons on request. There is plenty of off-road parking space and open space for all to enjoy.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation in a stunning location, a family/friends party, or a couple's hideaway, Woodlands Manor Farm has it all.

Fabulous holiday
We have just returned from a two family joint holiday here and have had a fabulous time. Twelve of us (adults and teenagers) stayed in The Manor and it was perfect. The house is quirky and fun and we loved cooking on the aga. The beds were comfortable and the house was a perfect size for us. The pool was amazing and the gardens and farm itself were lovely and beautifully kept. We visited local beaches and had a fabulous stay. We love Cornwall and Woodlands Manor Farm. We will return. Thank you!

Family catch up
Wonderful break in a lovely old, slightly quirky, Manor House. We didn’t have the greatest weather so the indoor pool came into its own. So much to do on the doorstep with Swanspool being out favourite beach. There are some low ceilings and doorways to negotiate if you are tall like me at 193cms. A lovely chilled vibe from the owners who arranged feeding time with the animals. The two double bedrooms are particularly impressive with high ceilings and lovely outlooks.

Fantastic little break away with all the family, mainly aged over 18.The farm had everything from the warm swimming pool to the games room. Enjoyable Stay
We stayed in the Manor House for 7 days in June.. 6 adults and. a 2 year old. It’s a lovely quirky 6 bedroom period house. Loads of space downstairs with a great conservatory breakfast / kitchen room with a great view. Don’t expect perfection as it is an old building with some sloping floors and level changes etc. Very good enclosed garden great for relaxing in the afternoon. We enjoyed the excellent swimming pool on a number of occasions and the games room with its soft play area was also good fun. Hosts Andy and Ruth were excellent and on hand to deal with any issues and to provide advice and recommendations. The early morning animal feed experience with Ruth was great and enjoyable being be informative for both children and adults !

Fantastic stay for all the family.
Very friendly owners, we had bad weather during our stay but wasn’t at all bothered as we stayed in the most loveliest house with an indoor pool and games room. We had no complaints about anything. We got to feed the animals on the farm which the children loved. The beds were so comfortable. Everywhere was clean and tidy and very quiet area. Shops are 15 minute drive. A few take aways in the area. But lots of cooking facilities and bbq for cooking at home. We would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone who would like a quiet break away in a cosy spacious cottage. Waking up to the amazing scenery every day was wonderful.
