About this property

Trinity View YORK - One Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 2

Trinity View is a lovely, recently remodeled ground floor apartment on the corner of Micklegate and Trinity Lane, in this historic central location in York.
A touch of luxury- with complimentary Prosecco and fresh flowers waiting for all bookings over 3 nights.

Standing on the original Roman road into Eboracum and at the Royal entrance into York since medieval times Trinity View has witnessed all of the history of York. The house dates from 1780 and has, amongst many others, been a vicarage, the venue of York's magic lantern society and seances, a pharmacists and York's first greengrocers. It was initially a prestigious Georgian home and then descended into both a stone masons for Trinity Church and Jacob’s Well, and also a blacksmiths for the York to London Stagecoach. Once it had no less than 15 residents in three families, plus horses, resident on the property. Now carefully restored as an English Heritage Listed Building to it’s former glory, it is filled with antiques, original features and information about it’s past heritage.

Close to all the local attractions, and only 5 minutes walk away from the train station, the apartment is light and spacious.  There is an outside courtyard garden area with seating. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished, and benefits from secondary glazing and wooden window shutters, guaranteeing peace and quiet despite the lively central location.

There is a separate kitchen with breakfast bar, a large well furnished living room and a sumptuous bathroom with a roll top slipper bath and separate shower enclosure.  The bright well fitted kitchen also contains a washer/dryer and fridge/freezer.

The bedroom has large fitted wardrobes and a stunning double bed originating from the same period that the house was built.

The whole apartment is warmed by under-floor heating. The perfect place to stay and explore the city of York.

There is lovely enclosed garden space with some cover and outdoor seating .

There is no parking with this property but it is close to 3 long stay car-parks and York Train station.

Superbe endroit

The property was in a great area. Central, but far enough way from the night time noise. Very clean and characteristic in line with the age of the property. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

brilliant location and interesting history
The property is inside the city walls on a charming street, lots of historical features but also modern appointed. A great location. Only criticism would be the check in process to collect the keys was a little confusing.

Perfection location full of character
We had an absolutely wonderful time in York staying at Trinity View with our pup. Despite the rainy weekend, the apartment had everything we could ever need and was spacious and full of character - loved reading the history of the place that the owners left in the guest book, so many interesting facts that made our stay all the more memorable. Check in was slightly confusing but we got there in the end! The location could not be more perfect for a trip to York. We were actually there for a wedding gift meal at the famous York fine dining restaurant, Skosh, which happened to be 2 doors down from the flat so extremely handy! Would come back to trinity view in a heartbeat. Thanks for having us, Sophie, Tim And Sonny :-)

Great apartment
Had a week's stay in our home town due to house renovation. The apartment was in a great spot, so central for everything. It was lovely and spacious, loved the underfloor heating and the bath . Would definitely recommend

Christmas stay
Very comfortable and brilliantly located apartment. Some issues encountered such as lots of dust under the bed, bathroom shelf had toothpaste on it, bin not emptied and not specified in the advert that it was a shared courtyard and also the tv wasn’t tuned. However despite these things the apartment was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Under floor heating was very cosy.

Cath's 40th Birthday
Wow, just wow. Awesome property in a historic location. Beautifully maintained with so many lovely features which made the stay unbelievable. Bathroom is something else and the bed is extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this property. Only one downside, Cath was scared in case the ghosts would pay a visit so we had to keep the corridor light on during the night. 10/10
