The Space: Located on one of the desirable, famous streets in Chicago, this property is a 5-minute walk from the Gold Coast beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. The subway and the Magnificent Mile are also well within walking distance. This basement studio is ideal for those who want to combine a city break with some beach time.
Our one-bedroom Chicago studio can host up to 4 adults.
Other Things to Note:
There is a high likelihood of noise due to the city centre location and being below a Townhouse. Neighbours are nearby, and noise in the flat must be limited after 10 pm. The pipes in the suite are also known to bang slightly when the heating is on.
We may require a deposit for single-night bookings, last-minute reservations, and large booking groups. This can be retained for noise complaints, unauthorized parties, excessive uncleanliness, or damage beyond normal use.
Unfortunately, we do not have parking permits for the street. There are multiple multi-storey car parks all within a 10-minute walk of the property. The prices vary from $30-60 per day depending on proximity to the property.

Location is outstanding, could not be better for our purposes, would stay again without hesitation. Property is exactly as described. 100% satisfied. Host was great, easy in and out, clear access instructions, delighted with the stay in all respects.
What a wonderful location to really feel like a local for a weekend. Comfortable, clean and everything was as promised. We will definitely recommend this space to anyone visiting the city.
The property was great! Very clean and comfortable, well equipped, and in a nice location close to public transit options. The provided fans, heaters, and blankets will be appreciated as the thermostat is controlled by the upstairs unit. Overall it was a wonderfully pleasant stay. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area, and would definitely consider booking this property again.

The property is in downtown and very close to everything
This location can’t be beat. It’s one block away from the action and sits on a quiet little street filled with historic Chicago buildings. We had a piece of cake time entering the unit and it was very clean. You’re close to everything, Michigan ave, Gibson’s, Lou Malnati’s, and many more. You’re also close
The location of this apartment could not be better, with Lake Michigan to the east, Gold Coast shops and restaurants to the West, and the Mag Mile to the South. All locations are easily walkable.
Julian is also an excellent host. We had an issue arise and he took care of the matter quickly.
The property was in beautiful and quiet neighborhood, walkable and full of great eating venues. The kitchen and bathroom were well appointed; the living area could use a little TLC. The internet was difficult to use but serviceable. Overall would stay again just for location alone (as long as you don't plan to work remotely).
The best location in Chicago! As a Chicago native, I have to say this property is the absolute best location in the city. In a safe, beautiful neighborhood and steps away from shopping, restaurants, the beach and walking distance or a short Uber ride to all of the museums or tourist attractions. Check in was easy, internet worked well and the host responded immediately when one of the outdoor lights needed to be replaced. The only criticism I have is that the carpet needs to be replaced in the bedroom because it is spotted and dirty, but otherwise the unit was extremely clean.
While the unit itself was clean, besides the can of leftover Dip above the stove, and well-located, our overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by extreme and ongoing noise issues that made the stay very difficult. From the moment we arrived, there was persistent and excessive noise coming from the unit above us. The footsteps, banging, and general movement overhead were constant and far louder than what would be considered normal apartment noise. It reached a point where it became quite unlivable, especially during evening and nighttime hours when rest is essential. In addition to the upstairs noise, the pipes in the unit would bang extremely loudly, often without warning. The sounds were so sudden and intense that they were genuinely alarming, repeatedly waking us up in the middle of the night. At times, the noise was so aggressive that it caused real fear that someone might be trying to break into the unit. This made it very difficult to feel safe or relaxed during our stay.I did my best to handle the situation respectfully and communicated with the host on seven separate occasions regarding the noise issues. While I appreciate the host’s responsiveness, the problems unfortunately never improved. Due to the ongoing disruption and lack of rest, we ultimately made the decision to check out a full day early, as it was no longer manageable to stay.
My daughter and I went for a convention in March. This was our first time in Chicago and it was a great stay. This property is close to everything. I just wish I would have known that there is no free parking anywhere, I would have just taxied everywhere instead of getting a rental and paying for it to be parked the entire time. This property was cozy and had an entire kitchen. The bathroom is much bigger and nicer than you would get in a hotel room. While we stayed there there were other guests staying above us. We stayed in a basement type studio apartment. The footsteps from the other guests were loud and when the heat gets turned on there is loud banging sounds coming from the heat system. It terrified me and my daughter because we didn’t know what it was until we read the binder that is left in the room with all the information you need. Over all this was a very good and affordable place to stay.
The location couldn’t have been better! We were less than 10 minute walk from Michigan Avenue and all the places we came to go to! With Spot hero we paid it $19.50 to park literally across the street from the apartment at a covered valet parking garage! :) We ordered DoorDash and they found our place but they left the food at the upstairs front door which was fine I just went upstairs and got it. There are two doors at the back of the apartment that are locked and they do not enter and I watch a lot of criminal minds and it kind of freaked me out because I didn’t know what was behind those doors and I already was nervous about coming with my daughter to the city to a place with no reviews. There’s no table or chairs to eat at so we sat on the couch and ate at the table and watched TV. The bed was very comfortable. The shower is big and has a rain shower however the water pressure overall in the shower couldn’t really rinse your hair out. The kitchen and fridge and entire place was very clean. We watched Netflix very easily on the TV overall this day it was nice and the location was the best part. Because it’s the old building you can hear every step people take upstairs and at one point or you could hear a voice so close as if it was in our apartment. It would be cool if you wrote do not enter these doors because they lead to another apartment. Especially for people who are used to not living in apartments and having neighbors that close, will be aware that there are people behind those doors or just storage? The homes down the street are historical and beautiful everything was extremely convenient.
