We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a convenient location, nice neighborhood, close to good restaurants and attractions. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. They supported an early check in and facilitated getting a special gift for my son who couldn’t make the trip which we really appreciated!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! The house is really beautiful and spacious. The neighborhood is convenient to several restaurants and a grocery store as well as an easy walk to Frenchmen street. Derric and Carl were so kind and made us feel very welcome and taken care of.
The home is beautiful and I appreciated the introduction tour with the history of the area and home highlighted. The hosts were helpful and friendly with that Southern hospitality. The location was great to catch a bus or ride around different neighborhoods. I would love to come back and stay again and try out some of the recommendations on places to go.
We had a lovely stay at the Marigny home. There was plenty of space for our party of six to spread out. We especially loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings, sipping coffee and taking in the neighborhood.
We had a great stay at Carl Mack's house while in New Orleans for a wedding. The house is spacious and comfortable with high ceilings and beautiful original details. Carl and his partner were great hosts and really helpful when we had requests or questions! The Marigny is such a lovely neighborhood, very walkable - close to the french quarter but more importantly closer to nice neighborhood gems!Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time for our girls trip at this home! Location is perfect for everything, walking to Quarter, Frenchman’s and Streetcar. Grocery shopping a block over that has everything you could possibly need! We enjoyed the front porch in the evening! Home is spacious so the 5 of us could spread out! We loved the silly Mardi Gras props and took lots of fun pictures! Carl and Darrin were excellent hosts! Definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again! Thank y’all!
Hosts were very welcoming. Great neighborhood - conveniently located right behind Peter Paul where our son was getting married. Lots of space - great layout.
We loved our stay! Our hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. The home is historic and comfortable, and it was in a great location for both walking to the French Quarter and enjoying the Marigny neighborhood. I would give our hosts 10 stars if I could!
The hosts were beyond hospitable. They made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The house was beautifully well kept and comfy. Location was terrific, with just a little walk to the French Quarter and lovely local restaurants. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Great place, great people!I’d recommend it 100%!Derek is a responsive and informative host. Easy walk to French district without being in the noice and commotion. Grocery across the street. Multiple restaurants in 2-3 blocks.
The house was exactly as described and very clean. Derric and Carl were extremely nice. Parking was no problem with the driveway right beside the house. Was within walking distance of everything and the Robert’s grocery store across the street was great to pick up quick food items and adult beverages. Our group loved sitting on the porch and people watch. Make sure to stop by and visit Carl at his museum and try on the different costumes. He does a wonderful presentation and you learn about different aspects of Mardi Gras.
I visited New Orleans for about four days with my family, and we absolutely loved this property! Not only was it large and comfortable and in a great neighborhood, communication with the host was spectacular. I always got responses very quickly when I had questions. But most importantly, they contacted me by email right before we left to organize checking in, and called me shortly after our airplane landed to confirm everything. Also, Derric gave us such a warm and enthusiastic welcome when we met him at the house we felt comfortable immediately. Plus he was a great concierge in giving us tips on what to do in the neighborhood and in Nola in general. We can't wait to go back and stay there again!
The house was comfortable and the hosts are amazing! There are so many restaurants to try so we didn’t really use the kitchen much, but it was nice to enjoy our coffee in the morning. It’s an old charming house with a lot of history! We appreciated being able to use the driveway to park our vehicle instead of parking iton the street.
Excellent hosting by the owners who welcomed us to the property with a friendly tour. The house was cool and clean with great character. Beds were comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. We spent lots of time on the shady front porch. The location was the highlight with a grocery store less than a block away and a quick walk to the bus station and jazz clubs on Frenchmen. Would definitely stay again
Enjoyed everything about the home. Such great access to the French Quarter and other great parts of the city. The grocery store closes by is extremely convenient!
One of the best vacation rental experiences we've ever had. Darric let us check in early, met us and showed us around upon arrival, and let us stay past check-out until we needed to leave for the airport. The house was centrally located, beautiful, and clean. Thank you!
We had a wonderful visit to New Orleans, staying in Carl and Darric’s beautiful, historic home. The location was fantastic - in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street and across the street from a fantastic grocery store. Darric greeted us and gave us a fabulous overview of the history of the neighborhood and the historic home - a grand space with high ceilings and large rooms, very comfortable beds, and an area to lounge in for downtime. The hospitality of the owners, the neighborhood, and the location make it a great place to stay during a trip to the city.
The grocery store is located right across the street on the next block. The store has items that you can purchase for cooking, but I loved that it also had healthy pre-made food for purchase. There was also a food hall within walking distance. The neighborhood was safe. The home was spacious and clean. My family enjoyed sitting on the front porch the most.
