Hostingon the first floor two twin bedrooms, along with a bathroom on the ground floor, this property can sleep up to four guests. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is parking beside the property and access to the castle grounds. North Mains Cottage makes a perfect base for a holiday to Scotland with friends.

Note: There is a steep path leading to the entrance of the cottage, Internally there is a staircase to the first floor. Note: Dogs are not allowed on beds or any of the furniture, you may like to bring an old towel to wipe muddy paws. Note: Fuel for the wood-burning stove is not provided, logs and coal are available locally at petrol stations and shops, we kindly ask that you do not collect wood from the estate. Note: The beds in the twin room cannot be made into one large bed, please consider this when booking. Town: Alford is a small rural town resting in Aberdeenshire sitting by the River Don and the hills of Bennachie and Coreen. The town boasts a rich history as it is home to the Battle of Alford battleground, Alford Heritage Centre and the Grampian Transport Museum. Alford has a variety of shops, with a local butcher and a pub, as well as local fish van visiting every Tuesday and a fish and chip van every Thursday. Just outside the town is the spectacular Craigievar Castle, while Alford also has Alford Golf Course and Haughton and Murray country park.
