We stayed in a beautiful apartment close to where we attended a family wedding at Thirsk Barns. It was a fabulous apartment and facilities.

Perfect peaceful little break
Beautiful building. The rooms were super clean, the property was peaceful, and we had a great time. I wish we had more time during our stay to enjoy the amenities and walking the grounds. I'd return and recommend to anyone who needs a peaceful break.

Beautiful old house in stunning location
The area is stunning and the house majestic, but it was a pity there was no historical information about it. Accommodation comfortable but the kitchen was very cramped. Some of the nails on the joins between the rooms stuck out and caught my feet.

Peaceful and relaxing get-away
I've enjoyed all my time at Sutton Hall following purchase of a timeshare week 40 years ago. The accommodation has evolved somewhat and now caters less for holidaymakers staying a few days or a week, and more for overnighters with no baggage. Lots of good eating places within easy reach, some even within walking distance.

The place is wonderful
We stayed in Cleveland and although it was lovely, the living area was very small for 5 people. It felt appropriate for 4 people.
Thanks

All quiet & peaceful
Lovely and quiet, hardly saw a soul. Surrounded by super places to eat, lots of walks locally and within a short drive. Unfortunately, the Velux window at the top of the stairs would not open-again, having been operational last year. It vents hot air and would have been hugely beneficial.
Also, the chest of drawers from the main bedroom is now at the top of the stairs, leaving 2 guests (out of 6) with NOWHERE to hang clothes. We're not all overnighters, for me at least SH is my second home.

Thank you for your feedback — we're so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and local amenities.
Just to clarify, both bedrooms are equipped with wardrobes and drawers, so there is ample space for guests to hang and store their clothes. We appreciate your comment regarding the Velux window, and we’ll be sure to take another look at it to restore full functionality as soon as possible.
Thanks again for staying with us — we look forward to welcoming you back next year.

All quiet & peaceful
Sutton Hall is my "second home" after visiting for 40 years. A week is never long enough to get round all my favourite places, never mind find new ones. I dislike having to live out of a suitcase on the floor now that I have no drawer space or dressing table in the bedroom, just a tiny shelf. The furnishings are now bland and characterless, no doubt to cater for the overnighters. The timeshare owners (I know, old-fashioned) have to put up with whatever the overnighters allow us to keep, shame.
