All our cottages are fully heated and equipped with washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, digital Freeview television, wireless internet and telephone. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge, and cots and highchairs are available on request.Pets are welcome everywhere except The Cottage, which we aim to keep ‘allergy-free’.
Children are especially welcome and guests staying in our cottages have full access to all the facilities enjoyed by those staying in the guest house, including the grounds and swimming pool. You are also welcome to make use of the reception rooms in the house and to reserve tables in our restaurant. Or why not treat yourself to a full English breakfast - just ask the day before.
The Cottage sleeps two people and was formerly a barn, renovated in the early 1990s. The Cottage has an open plan living-dining room, featuring exposed beams and a large glass south-facing wall filling the original barn entrance. The cosy double bedroom is in the former hay loft, above, and the bathroom, also upstairs, was refitted in November 2012. In the kitchen there is a washing machine and a full range of equipment including a fridge-freezer, electric oven and hob and microwave. The living room is complete with freeview television and DVD player, and wifi is accessible throughout. Parking is available either in front of The Cottage or to the rear.
Alongside a choice of en-suite rooms in the beautiful Georgian country house or self-catering cottages in the adjacent barn conversions, we have a fabulous restaurant serving lunch and dinner and hosting special events throughout the year.

(Please note - our restaurant usually takes bookings two weeks in advance so please do reserve your table quickly! There are no tables set aside for residents!)

The Grove really is a very special place steeped in history, which has been offering accommodation by the Graveling family for nearly 90 years. We like sharing it; and aim to provide you with the space and tranquility to genuinely slow down and relax. The heated indoor pool is ideal for children and adults alike. We are also close enough to Cromer to be able to wander into the town and to the cliffs and pier.

North Norfolk has plenty to offer from numerous stately homes, and National Trust properties, places of interest, bird reserves, to beautiful unspoilt beaches and market towns. There is also lots to do for children. Cromer has its own zoo and go-kart track, and North Norfolk as a whole ranges from boating on the Broads, to adventures in Bewilderwood.

For the golfers, The Royal Cromer Golf Club is about a par 5 away, so couldn't be more convenient.

Birthday Stay at Norfolk Coast.

We stayed only one night,a Sunday,at The Grove which was pleasant enough but rather empty, although we made good use of the conservatory for pre-dinner drinks, the swimming pool and Massage Hut and stayed in The Cottage, one of the self catering units.

pleasant friendly, basic,

Stayed four nights, welcoming staff and basic accommodation. The patio doors look out onto a car park and you can hear road noise but the grounds are lovely.

Lovely location but the cottage was NOT as per the picture advertised. Seating was different. Towels are a disgrace, taps tured.

Satisfactory, but under the expectation set by the web info

Stayed 2 nights for leisure break. Had breakfast both days, and dinner 1 evening. The cost for a couple incl room & breakfast was expensive. The room was satisfactory, but dated and poorly maintained. For example, the loo stopped working (I fixed it), the blind was broken, and a handle were missing from some furniture. The bed was comfortable and the room warm (it was cold and wet outside). The biggest let down was breakfast - see further below

An excellent venue that i will stay in again when we visit family

All the staff were wonderful and friendly which really makes a difference when it comes to staying in a hotel. The gardener was friendly when giving me directions for my run, the maintenance man was friendly when he called to fix shower head that fell on my girlfriend's head within five minutes of highlighting problem and all the staff at Sundowner.

A very pleasant experience.

We have stayed at The Grove several times - in the hotel, in the cabins and most recently in the self catering cottage in the converted coach house. We’ve never been disappointed. Lovely meal in the Garden Rooms restaurant. They were able to adapt the meals for my GF wife - thank you.

Excellent welcome by reception staff, great accommodation and good location close to beach and town

The location was great, facilities excellent - especially private use of the swimming pool - and terrific food in the restaurant. We shall definitely come again.

2/10 Terrible

Son just said was ok

I am his mother and made the booking. Was quite annoyed at the accommodation suggested. My grandson is 3, you didn’t have facilities for him. My son had to bring his own bed and bedding. Was offered a 2 bed accommodation at twice the price! My grandson needed floor space not beds so would be paying for floor space for his bed in a second bedroom! Booked breakfast hadn’t been put on the booking and no discount for room or breakfast for a 3 year old.

TLC required in the room, creature comforts should run to making sure the doors are not squeaking

great food good location ,you need to upgrade the rooms creature comforts a ice tray would be a good start and for the doors that constantly squeak are not acceptable.

Comfortable and great location and good parking

We both love the Cottage and its location as it is a comfortable walking distance to Cromer Town, Cottage is clean and well kitted out, not our first time at the Grove and not our last, suits our needs. Another + is a bus stop just across the road, can walk through the woods at back of Grove to the Cliff top, great views and walks along the Cliff edge of the Cromer Golf course.

Wish we’d stayed longer!

Beautiful accommodation. We tried the restaurant (amazing) but didn’t have time to try the Sundown dining experience, the Massage Hut or Swimming Pool (all on the grounds). We did wander round the vegetable garden where the friendly gardener showed us round and explained how the produce is used in the restaurants on site - amazing!

loveley pre-easter holiday in a beautiful location

We booked one of the cottages which offered everything we needed (and wanted) for our short break. The Grove is located in a lovely spot, short walk to lighthouse and beach of Cromer as well as the small town itself. It was the optimal location for trips to Norwich, the beaches west of Cromer, ...
