Tigh na Mara is a beautiful, contemporary one bedroom retreat constructed in 2019 and offers exceptional accommodation for couples or solo travellers.
The house is a modern interpretation of a Sheiling or small dwelling once used by shepherds in Scotland whilst tending their cattle during the summer months. Tigh na Mara literally means "House by the Sea" in Gaelic and refers to the property's unique location overlooking Ardmair Bay towards Isle Martin and the Summer Isles.
With floor to ceiling glass windows throughout and a beautiful Danish wood burning stove, this cosy larch-clad home makes the most of its breathtaking position by the sea and the dramatic backdrop of Ben Mor Coigach, a table-top mountain. The house is nestled into the hillside on its own private site with a burn flowing nearby and overlooks a small coved bay. Guests will enjoy seeing an abundance of wildlife from the comfort of Tigh na Mara including a variety of seabirds, seals, otters, pine martens and deer.
Tigh na Mara has been thoughtfully and tastefully designed to offer guests an unforgettable stay in the North West Highlands. Comprising a comfortable bedroom with king size bed, a luxurious wetroom-style bathroom and a spacious, open-plan living and kitchen studio fitted with modern appliances and equipped to a very high standard.
This truly is a unique home for those looking for something special in this stunning and inspiring part of Scotland.
