We had a lovely time at smardale cottage. It was clean, warm, cosy, well equipped and really comfortable. We really enjoyed walking from the cottage everyday but found the cottage very well placed for getting to the lakes and dales. Perfect for a relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We had a super stay at Smardale cottage.
We had a super stay at Smardale cottage. The hosts, Helen and Mark were lovely and very helpful. The homemade biscuits were delicious and the log fire a great addition on a cold night. The house was immaculate and homely. The nature reserve had some lovely walks that we enjoyed daily with our dog Martha. There were some good pubs for food a couple of miles away. We are looking forward to coming back again.
The cottage was absolutely wonderful. Helen, our host is a dear and let us in early. We have been in the UK for 6 weeks and this home was the BEST! The only downside was we were here for 2 days and we should have stayed for 2 weeks!
Cottage was lovely, really nicely furnished set in a beautiful location. Owner very nice. We all including the dog loved our stay here.👍👍
