8/10 Good

The cottage was easy to find.

The cottage was easy to find. The instructions do say to look for a green gate, but the gate is more rusted than green now. There is a sign in the field as well though. The cottage is lovely, a nice welcome hamper and has all the things you need. Good views of surrounding fields and we saw lots of rabbits which were a nice surprise. We did struggle with the WiFi initially. I think each cottage is meant to have it's own WiFi but ours wasn't available so we had to connect to main router. There was no instructions for how to use the log fire which was a shame. In addition, I think the logs that were provided, were actually too big to get a fire properly started. Whilst it's great that they provide a dog crate, I would question just how dog friendly the cottage is given that dogs are not to go upstairs or on any of the furniture. In addition, I understand the cottages are located on a working farm and said farm has several dogs, two of which are primarily outside and do bark a lot. No issue with this, but I think guests should be made aware of this so they know to expect to see them.
