This is an amazing house. We were a party of 8 adults and three small children. There was lots of space for all of us and everything we needed to really enjoy our stay. Lots of period features in the house. It was really comfortable and very quiet. Rothbury is a lovely market town with everything you need in walking distance including some great pubs, shops and walks. The host communicated really quickly and was very helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

It was a great space for 12 friends with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The house was easy to relax in. It was easy to access everything we needed on foot and was a perfect base from which to visit places like Cragside and Craster .

Wonderful house in a perfect location

The house had everything we needed for a family get away. With each bedroom having an en-suite or a bathroom across the hallway, all eight of us had our own privacy. Perfect! The beds were all comfy, providing a great night's sleep. The house is in tan excellent location, just a 5-10 minute walk to the shops, pubs, cafes, etc of Rothbury. Parking outside the house was easy.

Fabulous town centre location with access to beaches, castles and hills

House was ideally situated for exploring Northumberland on the Main Street of a pretty town. 6 beds and 6 bathrooms was a real plus as was Karen (extremely helpful caretaker). Only downside is much if the interior is tired.

Great! Really enjoyed our time away, everyone loved the place.

It enabled various age groups get together for family birthday celebration's. The place was spacious enough for everyone to just chill & do their own thing or all be together in one room. The place was very well equipped & we were really grateful for the welcome hamper. Honestly it was great - it was made special by the fact that we could all just together in one place Rothbury is a great little place to hang about & relax but also a good base for the rest of Northumberland.

Lovely house in a great location

Large cosy house and very well equipped although could have done with another fridge. Loved the dimensions of all the rooms with a touch of faded grandeur. Living area lovely. Limited outside area and in need of TLC but overall very good stay. Host was brilliant with responses.

Perfect house for a group in a fabulous location

The house was fabulous for a group, every room had its own bathroom. Karen was very helpful both before our arrival and a couple of queries she responded immediately. Location is great with plenty of pubs / food / shops on doorstep. Parking was very easy with lots of space on the road outside rye hooded. A mist is a visit to Cragside only 5 mins drive from the house.

The property served our walking holiday very well. We did however have some problems .

We enjoyed the space on offer. We had problems however with the showers, some of the mattresses need replacing and disappointed with the outside space. Overall it was good value however . We made good use of the spacious kitchen and dining room and the fact that we all had our own rooms and bathrooms.

Good house for family party

The house was well situated and well equipped. It did nees some checking of light bulbs, electrical equipment. For example, faulty heater in dining room and heated towel rail did not work in one room. However, the children loved all the bathrooms and having TVs in their rooms. Having 2 sitting rooms was excellent. We would recommend Orchard House.
