Blackberry Cottage enjoyed a fabulous rural location in the heart of the Garden of England, making it perfect for those who are seeking to enjoy everything that the Kent countryside has to offer. On the outskirts of the village of Sutton Valence, the cottage is surrounded by fantastic country walks, welcoming country pubs and the priceless peace and quiet. Blackberry cottage is a brand new, purpose built holiday cottage. Undergoing huge renovation in early 2020, everything was designed to maximise the enjoyment and relaxation of our guests. A single story property comprising of three bedrooms, one with an ensuite, a main family bathroom and a large living space including a brand need kitchen with built in cooking facilities, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The inside of the property is well complimented by the unique outside view over one of the areas largest apple and pear orchards, a backdrop you would struggle to find any where else. With a secluded south facing patio seating area, overlooking the orchard, there is nowhere better to relish the evening sun whilst enjoying a relaxing drink or meal. The cottage is on the same grounds as our own competition stables, so if horses are your thing, they’re never too far away either.
Close by, you will find the famous Leeds Castle as well as many other local, historic, national trust sites. On your way to visit these local attractions you will stumble over a few of the many fantastic local pubs and eateries in the area; ranging from traditional country pubs to modern restaurants. A little closer to home, at the end of our driveway you will find the opening onto as what feels like an infinite network or public footpaths and bridleways. These footpaths can take you through to heart of the country side to neighbouring villages such as, Chart Sutton, East Sutton, Staplehurst, Headcorn and many more further afield.

The ideal place to relax and unwind after a day visiting castles and gardens.
The welcoming, the availability and the friendliness of the person(s) in charge of the place made our stay most enjoyable. Another asset, the possibility of fully rest (good night's sleep without the noise of the cities) so enjoying the nature surrounding the place. The place is well situated so easy to access major interesting sites to visit.
Ideal for 5 adults and would be good for children too. Had everything and more you would need for a weekend break or week long stay.

A lovely property, home from home.
The beds were very comfortable, the open plan made it easy for family to visit with room to spare. Everything you need.

Change of scenery and routine
Very relaxing stay in a peaceful location. Plenty of local pubs which served excellent food. Fairly centralised location to get to places to visit within a reasonable travel time.

New year
We had a nice stay. Personally the beds were a bit soft
Good location and well equipped property. After a little delay with comms on booking payments, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.

Surprised at the high ratings! En suite bathroom and basin so small you couldn’t actually brush your teeth. WiFi slow and unstable.

We were a group of three adult males working in the area. We have worked in the area on and off for the last 6 months and this property is by far the best we have stayed in. When we return to the area we will be staying here again if available. The property is modern/clean. Great area. the abundance of cooking equipment will leave wanting nothing. Owners couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended. And there is a couple of pubs that serve nice food within a 15 minute walk.
This property is the best we have stayed at in this area whilst working. The property is spotlessly clean and modern. The abundance of equipment supplied was second to non. You will not want for anything if you enjoy cooking. Great area nice and quiet yet a couple of really nice pubs a 10-15 minute walk away that serve excellent food. The owners of the property were so nice and friendly you will not be disappointed. Three adult men stayed here for 10 days whilst working in the area and the property was far better than we expected. Not a single complaint from any of us. We will definitely be staying again when working in the area.
Hübsches Häuschen in ländlicher Lage neben einer Pferdekoppel. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Viel Platz. Nicht alle Betten sind für große und kräftige Männer, sondern eher für Kinder geeignet. Charmante Entschuldigung für die Panne bei der Schlüsselübergabe. Gerne wieder.
