Quiet, peaceful stay away from the daily grind.
Lovely picturesque area and grounds. Very peaceful, quiet location. Plenty of things to do just a short walk away. Great accommodation. Loved the use of the log burner. Plenty of logs to get us though the cool nights. Great weekend. Will be returning in the future.

Very peaceful and enjoyable stay
The accommodation was top class, with every amenity available. It was set in a lovely location and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The road winding down to the accommodation was a little testing but was manageable. A beautiful place to stay both the accommodation and the surroundings.

Wonderful location, lovely people, beautiful property.
Everything was excellent. The property was easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Although we didn't have any queries we were made to feel as though we could ask for anything if needed. The property itself is lovely and very well equipped, with a really useful folder explaining wifi set up etc. There are views of the lovely garden and canal from all windows and interesting and scenic walks directly from the property. We loved the peaceful setting.

What a Lovely place
Robin Hood Tower is a lovely place to stay. We were greeted by Steve who showed us round the Tower and gave us some pointers on the appliances and tips on how to get the best out of the logs burner. He then showed us round his beautiful garden and invited us to use it whenever we wanted. There was a lovely welcome pack of milk, eggs bread etc including logs and lighters. The Tower really is a home from home, in a perfect location. Have already recommended it to friends and will be going back.

About the host

Host profile image
The owners live at The Old sawmill just a few yards away. The canal side garden and wharf are available for guests to use. The stream flows through the garden and has a waterfall with a drop of thirty feet contained within a large stone lined chamber built at the time of the canal’s construction in 1794.

The owners are dog friendly, keep hens, and are actively engaged in tree planting and conservation of the canal and woodland. They have also contributed to the understanding of the industrial heritage in the area through excavations and academic research. They want you to have an enjoyable, fulfilling time here so that you’ll come back time after time and really get to know the area.
