Town: The village of Caeathro is just outside of Caernarfon, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Caernarfon is a popular tourist spot with an impressive castle, well-preserved town walls and attractive waterfront, along with a selection of shops, places to eat and sea-fishing trips off the coast of Anglesey. You are perfectly placed for exploring the magnificent Snowdonia National Park, as well as the lovely beaches of Anglesey and the excellent climbing, walking and mountain biking opportunities on the Llyn Peninsula.

Great location for a holiday with easy access to Anglesey, Snowdonia and the beautiful coast.House is small and damp. If it’s damp in a hot summer hard to imagine it at cooler and wetter times of year. Overall cleanliness was quite poor, particularly kitchen and bathroom.That aside, if you don’t want to cook for yourselves beyond microwaving, and don’t plan to do much other than sleep there, it’d be a good base. If you were planning on self-catering and spending evenings together as a family like us, I’d look elsewhere.Sofas aren’t very comfy and kitchen is really poorly equipped - no spoons for stirring (we bought a wooden one and left it there), no chopping board, no scissors, no oven gloves. Pans had gone mouldy in the cupboard, we had to wash thoroughly before use.
