Our flat is a spacious studio apartment with private garden. Situated in a stunning period building, the golden sands of Durley Chine beach are literally a few moments away. Bliss!

Great Beach location

The small cozy flat was decorated in a lovely warm style. It was quiet and the garden was a nice extra. The flat was well equipped for self-catering. Host did lots of little things to make you welcome and feel special. Host communication was the best. Location to beach is superb. We had a very good stay.

Lovely quiet place by the beach

The whole experience was wonderful from the moment we booked and Sophia was contactable throughout the stay. Lovely interior decor, with a clean bathroom, new kitchen and new bedding! The flat was in a very nice area and the beach was literally 1min down the road! Me and my partner will definitely be coming down to stay again 😁 thank you

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the seaside spirit here in the Bournemouth area. With Sandbanks to one end of the peninsula and the lively Bournemouth pier at the other, there are many beautiful Chines in-between in which to enjoy all this vast beach has to offer.
Nearby Durley Chine is at the bottom of a beautiful cul-de-sac which, at the end, has the most breath-taking view of trees leaning out into the sea. We felt like we were in the Amalfi Coast when we first saw this view!
The apartment itself has many original period features, with high ceilings and a secluded rear garden; perfect for barbecues, al fresco evenings and a space in which to relax.
I have really enjoyed creating the interior space inside this apartment so that it is a calm yet interesting place to return to after the the day at the beach or a bike ride in the nearby New Forest. My favourite details are the chinoiserie silk walls, upholstery from British heritage brands, restored antique Chateau doors and sumptuous linens from Feather and Black. Little luxuries make all the difference - you are on holiday, after all!

Durley Chine Beach
Durley Chine Beach is the situated at the bottom of Durley Gardens - just a a few minutes' walk from the property, at the bottom of the steps. It is also located just a 10 minute walk west along the promenade from the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth Pier. The Blue Flag Award beach has wide golden sands and the water is safe and shallow making it a popular destination for locals or families with younger children. There is an RNLI lifeguard station. Other facilities include a new cafe/restaurant (Chineside), a Harvester pub, a beachfront take away cafe / ice cream kiosk, a beach shop, beach office and toilets.

There are numerous attractions and activities that Dorset has to offer, all of which can be found on this website, including some wonderful walks (many of which include National Trust Sites) - so there's no shortage of ways to fill your holiday when staying here.

Jurassic Coast

For me, the real jewel in Dorset's crown! I still find it amazing that discoveries are even being made today along this amazing coastline; which begins just the other side of Pool Harbour and the sandy beaches of Bournemouth. This is a guaranteed fun-filled day for little explorers and budding geologists.
