Idyllic retreat with sea views and spacious terrace overlooking Lyme Bay
A great little stay in the heart of Lyme Regis. Sublime year round views down to Lyme and along the Jurassic Coast. Arden is perfect for a cosy last minute weekend break, or as a useful base to explore West Dorset and East Devon for longer holidays. Dog friendly and in a very popular location. Ideal. We are happy to provide any local suggestions or assist with questions about the surrounding area.
Sleeping four, this lovely apartment sits at the top of Hill Road, a short 5min stroll into Lyme town centre. With spectacular views and a very enviable outside space for warmer months, this fantastic apartment is just the ticket for exploring Lyme and the Jurassic Coast.
With contrasting charcoals, mochas and mustards, the kitchen and living space exudes a very modern and welcoming vibe. There is a well equipped kitchen area, with an induction hob and oven, integrated fridge and freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
The living and dining area is very cosy, with ample space on the super comfy sofa, to snuggle up and binge on Netflix if the weather isn't playing ball. There is a smart tv to entertain the (big) kids, whilst the adults can enjoy a coffee, or something stronger, al fresco on the terrace.
The master king bedroom features some beautiful artwork of the local area, which contrast perfectly against the fresh, sharp and modern feeling decor. There is useful wardrobe and drawer space for guests staying for a week or more. The theme of this apartment is coastal and relaxing, and it carries it off superbly. The twin room, useful for smaller families, is a zip and link and can also be made up as a small double bed.
The shower room is recently refurbished with an elegant, no fuss theme, a gorgeous walk-in shower for rinsing off your sandy toes and a heated towel rail for warming those super soft towels.
The property includes access to the outside living space - an enclosed roof garden with seating and dining table, allowing guests to spread out and enjoy spectacular views down to Lyme and across the Jurassic Coast.
We will accept one well-behaved dog to accompany guests.
This is a very popular apartment in a fantastic location at the heart of Lyme Regis. Walking distance to the best eateries in Lyme, the shops and of course the Cobb Harbour and Lyme's family friendly beaches. This really is an ideal holiday stay for an impulsive weekend getaway, or a great base for exploring Dorset. There are some fantastic walks locally if you're bringing the dog, particularly around Uplyme, and nearby Trinity Hill.

Exactly as described, this apartment was perfect for our 4 night stay. The balcony was lovely for enjoying breakfast ahead of a 2 min walk (down a short steep hill) to the centre of the town to begin the day.
URGENT NOTE
We did not stay in this property as we were advised there were repairs being done on the apartment roof

Hi Tricia - as given in several months notice, we offered a bigger property to you or the ability for a full refund. You chose one of our other properties (Baker’s Loft), and were also given a very early check in and a later check out time. Roof repairs unfortunately were critical at the property you initially booked at and with recent storms across the UK, it was even more important these were carried out. It’s a shame you didn’t mention any of these other points nor any positives. Thanks
The property was quite as advertised and the location was great with an awesome sea view from the terrace. Very easy to find and unlock. Plus a heart-melting welcome pack of cookies, milk and a bottle of wine.
Went in the summer and raved about it to friends so decided to go again with the girls! Brilliant fun and food... place was excellent and just as we expected, even the wrather was stunni ng thankyou 😊
Lovely property with super outside terrace, just a short walk to main high street, shops, cafes etc. The main bedroom is spacious, bed 2 a little on the small side (probably works well for kids). Nice eating, cooking, relaxing space - light and welcoming.
This property was clean functional and modern. However we were 3 fairly slim friends for whom I would say the 2nd bedroom with single beds was not fit for purpose for 2 sharing adults. The beds were hardly wide enough. The lamp on the only bedside table their was room for was far too big. Only 1 child’s wardrobe with no other chest of drawers. We could only comfortably move about 1 at a time. However the double room was excellent. Plenty of room and storage. Yes the 2 could use some of this space but it was not accurately described that we would have to. To sum up we felt it was more suitable for a family with 1 or 2 small children. We felt it would be a good idea to have a microwave. The outside balcony was as described and excellent although we felt the glass on the coffee table could do with a good clean as badly stained with cup and bottle marks .
Fab stay! The apartment was lovely - it had all the amenities required for a week away, was clean and decorated tastefully!
Negatives include at the top of a hill so may be difficult for some. Also we had a few bad nights sleeps due to excessive traffic and pedestrian noise as a lot of people walked/drove past through out the night. But, this was a fair trade off for us as the apartment and view were fabulous and Charlie (the host) is lovely!
The balcony really makes this apartment. We loved staying here and having our meals out on the balcony with the amazing view. Not the best stocked kitchen, we ended up making salads in the frying pan as there were no big bowls, but other than that and the fact that the bathroom got very wet the place was really lovey!
This is a perfect spot in Lyme Regis. Close to the high street, near the beach and with a spectacular outside space and view. The host was hugely helpful and prompt when replying to messages; the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend.
