The apartment at 1 Channel View is in the unique position of being within the harbour area and Lyme Regis' famous seafront. This newly refurbished, high spec boutique apartment sits as a gem in Lyme's world heritage coastal site, enjoying 270 degree panoramic views looking out over the historic harbour, The Cobb, and the beach. Over Lyme Bay, to the east, at night the twinkling lights of Weymouth some 20 miles away can be viewed as the eye sweeps across the bay. The flashing lights from the lighthouse on Portland are seen, and most times of the day and night fishing boats and ships can be observed. It is a busy working Harbour.
Lyme is in an ideal position to explore the whole of Dorset either by car or along the South West Coast Path. Local activities in walking distance include excellent crabbing - the sea siders favourite sport, fishing trips, coastal and countryside hike, fossil hunting, diving, seafront pubs, Marine parade and theatre, crazy golf, local shops beside the residence and a number of restaurants. Celebrity chef Mark Hix's Oyster and Fish House fish restaurant is 5 minutes walk or in the summer they run a rickshaw taxi to and from the restaurant. River Cottage Canteen restaurant is 15 minutes drive away in Axminster. Positioned just 30 seconds walk from Lyme's two main beaches, Sandy Beach and Monmouth Beach, this tastefully appointed apartment sleeps five people. The London designer-led renovations have both restored the charm of the original building and incorporated modern facilities to ensure the maximum enjoyment and comfort for your stay. The stylish fitted kitchen opens out into the living/dining space. There are plenty of magnificent views over the sea. Each bedroom also has a balcony overlooking the harbour and back towards Monmouth Beach. Lyme's main town is a 6 minutes walk. You will find The Fisherman's Wife below your apartment which serves fabulous hand-dived scallops from Lyme Bay and freshly cut fries which people love!

Kindly note: the apartment is priced at £15.00 per person above 2 persons per night (children under 18 are not charged). If a four-legged friend is coming to stay the price will be charged at £30 a stay. When possible, we aim to greet you at the apartment.
Please note from May to September we take minimum weekly bookings from Friday to Friday.

A Regal Stay

This is a gorgeous place to stay - best feature is the brilliant views over The Cobb. We spent a lot of time just watching the world go by but were well placed for a variety of lovely places to eat and drink. Recommended strongly!

Great location, you can see all over the harbour and the bay.The apartment is spacious and comfortable with an eclectic mix of furnishings and decor that we loved.Shops pubs and restaurants all on the doorstep and do go for the Parking that Marie recommends to book in advance, its hassle free. Do book your restaurant dinners at least the day before to avoid disappointment.

Beautiful apartment with what must have one of the best views in Lyme, minute to the Sandy beach for a swim, walks, would recommend a trip on the Jurassic Coast Bus, wonderful and free if you’re old enough for a bus pass ! dogs are welcome, we didn’t use the car once. Fab u lous 🥰🥰🥰

Great location with wonderful views, tasteful property and thoughtful touches with the coffee; tea and biscuits; negative comments would be that the lighting isn’t great ; very dim and no bedside table lamps to read books: also a hairdryer would have been appreciated; and a washer dryer would really be of benefit , especially with a family in wet weather.

Fabulous apartment in a great location

Fantastic apartment and an ideal location for us, my 3 year old loved watching all the boats from the lounge window. Lovely and clean with nice bedding. Balcony needs some TLC as furniture very old and dead plants in pots looked messy. Some storage for clothes in the second bedroom would be useful. All in all it’s a great place and we will visit again. Thank you.

Flat very clean. Slightly impractical for young family as no washing machine and lack of drawer storage space to unpack to. Great views but slightly compromised due to window frame at eye level when sitting down. Sound insulation not good and can hear both revelries outside and fan from chip shop below from 0720am. Living room will be hot in summer. General location excellent though.

This apartment was fantastic it felt very homely comfy and cosy, the view is wonderful everything you need id there with instructions. The pub opposite The Cobb Arms does fantastic food and they are very friendly, we also discovered The Galley cafe on the main street was dog friendly and again very welcoming food was very good too. We had a lovely couple of days away for my husband's 60th birthday so I would like to recommend this property very highly, if you are visiting this area it is worth booking this apartment. Thank you very much for a great experience.

Wonderful views, excellent location in Lyme Regis

We booked this apartment because of the views and it didn't disappoint. We really liked the position, conveniently situated for eating out and the beach. The apartment is very comfortable, had everything we needed and Marie was easy to communicate with. Viv's parking space was great and close by. I would urge anyone to arrange that if driving. It was also great to be able to take our dog. Can't believe how dog friendly Lyme Regis is. The only slight down side was the smell of fish and chips from downstairs although they tasted great. Both a blessing and a curse! We highly recommend this apartment and would love to return one day.

It couldn't have been more perfect. We were in Lyme for Guitars on the Beach in June. We took the dogs who loved dog watching from the floor to ceiling windows and the balcony (while we people watched). Everything you think you'll need and more is already here, really lovely and comfortable and loved the art on the walls. It felt like home from the moment we arrived and we were all delighted to have the opportunity to live the beachside life, if only for a couple of nights. Our host Marie was incredibly helpful including directed us to great car-parking just up the road. Four legs and two...we loved it!

Amazing property in the lovely town that is Lyme Regis. Very clean and well equipped. And like others have said, such a comfortable bed. As for the view - wow!! Just don’t expect to watch tv whilst you’re there - you won’t be able to concentrate with all that going on outside!! Truly loved it and will be back. Thank you for having us!!

This apartment is owned by myself and my four children, Hector, Louis, Oscar and Freya. My parents lived here for over 30 years and it is somewhere we treasure with our hearts.

Why they chose this property

My parents bought this property to be next to the sea. As you gaze out of the window from the sitting room sofa, the seascape is beautiful and never the same twice.

You couldn't be closer to everything great that Lyme, the Jurassic Coast and The Cobb has to offer.
