We had a lovely stay here with 5 adults and 2 small children. The kids had a great time playing around the property and in the pool. It was great to have such a comfortable apartment to stay and cook in, but there were also a few really nice restaurants that we tried in the nearby town. Ultimately I wish we had stayed here longer! Roberta and Alessandra were lovely hosts. Alessandra in particular was very responsive to questions we had in advance about our stay. She even helped me with removing some marks from travel on a dress I was to wear in a wedding after our stay!
This is a beautiful place, the grounds are clean and the apartment is spacious, clean, updated and perfect for large families. Roberts was a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

An outstanding apartment in a beautiful villa and a bucolic setting.
We had everything we needed in a well-equipped and spacious villa apartment, including outside picnic tables and a large swimming pool. The bucolic setting of the Italian countryside was peaceful, with vistas of farmland, and a comfortable walk on a rural pathway to the nearest town conveniences, past nearby canals, water birds, otters, and the occasional friendly neighbor. We would love to return. If you have gone city to city on an Italian journey, this is the place to draw breath and connect to the magnificent Italian countryside. Very reasonable.

Beautiful rural home
We were a family of 5 and stayed for three nights here. The apartment was beautiful, clean and large. The pool was a welcome relaxation after a hectic tour of Rome. You do need a car as it is in a lovely country area, but there are wonderful restaurants around and stores to buy supplies for a day at the pool. The grounds are beautiful and the owner and manager live right on the property and are very helpful with anything you may need. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great apartment, great location.
4 adults.
We spent 2 happy weeks in Le Magnolie which we all greatly enjoyed. The apartment is spacious, traditionally furnished, provides everything one needs and has air conditioning - most welcome during our first week when the daytime temperatures were 30^ + C! !!
The villa is very well located for visiting Padua, Treviso,Venice, Verona, Vicenza and surrounding countryside. At the end of a days sightseeing, the lovely pool is wonderful for a cooling, relaxing swim and the beautiful park a tranquil setting for a barbecue and a few glasses of wine!!
We ate at the Osterie Moderne in the evening ( a few minutes by car) on four occasions. Each time we thoroughly enjoyed both food, and wine which, together with the friendly efficiency of the staff, created a delightful ambience.
Added to all of the above are the charming Da Porto family who despite having a fascinating, centuries old history are up to date when it comes to correspondence etc and daughter Alessandra speaks excellent English! Their welcome and willingness to help could not be bettered. I should certainly like to return to Villa Selvatico!!!

Family of 6 loved Villa Selvatico/Le Magnolie
Our family of 6 stayed in Le Magnolie at Villa Selvatico. Having stayed in numerous other pleasant B&Bs, hotels and apartments on this trip from England to Italy, we were delighted to name Le Magnolie our favourite. It has the perfect balance of modern comforts and historic atmosphere, with the relaxed beauty of the farm a welcome change of pace after visiting cities. The pool, bike paths ( with bikes there to borrow ), and fields were much enjoyed by our kids. It was an easy drive to Venice and Padua, although we would recommend taking a bus to Padua, especially on a Saturday; parking was almost impossible. The train to Venice from Dolo was fast enough to do even half day trips there. The da Porta family owners were wonderful. We look forward to returning and exploring the region more.

Consigliatissimo!

Excellent place
We stayed in Le Magnolie for a week in June and found it a wonderful place. The pool is very clean and a good temperature. The apartment was very comfortable, very clean, had good wifi, and was well equipped. The da Portos are exceptionally kind people who live in this beautiful villa and were very helpful to us. There are fruit trees on the property, it's walking distance into a small town, there's room to kick a soccer ball around--everything we were looking for. It's a 10 minute drive into Padua, a city we loved, and only about 35 minutes to Venice, an easy ride or you can go halfway by train. We did both. Our only quibble was that the bed in the main bedroom was too soft. A small complaint! The property exudes peace and tranquility, had a great location, and the da Portos were very kind and dignified. We'd go back in a heartbeat. We had two teenage daughters with us and they loved it. Oh, forgot to mention the bikes and bike path, a nice bonus.

Very nice apartment, il Foghèr.
We had a very pleasant stay in il Foghèr. The apartment has enough space for a family, in the livingroom is wifi and all kitchenfacilities are available. The swimmingpool was closed during our stay but the garden is a very quiet and nice place to sit in. In SantAndrea you can find a bakery, pizza to take away and a good gelateria. A large supermarket is 4km away in Campodasergo, park your car in Dolo and Venice is easy to visit by train. Don't miss Padua and Verona. The owners daughter was very helpfull.

A pleasant Rural Retreat near major tourist sites
Property was a modern apartment in an attractive old villa set within spacious grounds. Plenty of areas of sun and shade. Good pool. Grassed areas slightly unkempt. Apartment was clean, towels renewed halway through the week. Adequate kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. We would have liked our own sunshade so we didn't have to move ourselves around into the shade of the trees. Very helpful concierge; fruit on arrival. Do take insect repellent! Excellent access to Padua, Venice, Euganie Hills; excellent written information in apartment about local amenities and how to travel around. We liked it a lot!

we booked this place last minute.. what a lucky find. our family of 6 was more than comfortable in this very clean, very large, beautiful apartment. it was a quick trip on a train to get into venice (30 min), and we saved ourselves lots of money by staying outside and commuting in. we had secure parking, internet, and all the other amenities that we needed. i highly recommend this apartment if you're looking for an alternative to staying in venice!

Wonderful villa!
The villa was beautiful and we loved the pool, spacious lawn, and delicious fruit from the farm. Our apartment was large, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioner cooled the apartment nicely, though it took some time to cool the master bedroom since the air conditioner was in the foyer area. The beds were very comfortable. Great place!

About the host
Hosted by Alessandra
This property was bought by my grandfather in 1951, and since then has been our family home where I grew up. The villa is surrounded by a 60 hectares large farm, still managed by me and my family.
Why they chose this property
I like to think that my grandfather bought this house for the magic of this place, that combines the charm of a typically Venetian historic building, with a nature still intact. Emotions that you can experience still today! In this place you can spend a relaxing holiday, immersed in the Nature, doing sports or simply relaxing in the sun by the pool, but you can also let yourself be led to the discovery of the History and Art of our territory starting just from the discovery of a Venetian Villa .
What makes this property unique
This apartment is very comfortable because of its space and because of the number of rooms, which give the opportunity both to live happily together and to have your own privacy if you are a large family or a group of friends. Moreover the kitchen is well equipped to prepare your own meals.
