About the host
Hosted by Sharon Narraway
We (David and Sharon) moved to Winfrith Newburgh in 2006, hoping for a better life in the countryside, we have three children and a friendly dog to complete our family. We have not been disappointed with moving to the village and have never looked back. We instantly fell in love with our house and the picture perfect village of Winfrith Newburgh and its location.
Why they chose this property
After visiting other family members in Dorset for many years, we loved it's charm and peacefulness, with a wide range of things to do all year round. We considered it would be nice area to retire to, then thought why wait! We felt Winfrith Newburgh filled all of our requirements, Village shop/Post Office, Train station (Wool) and of course a friendly local pub within walking distance. It is perfect for us. The local people are friendly and helpful and there is always somethings going on in the village hall or church.
What makes this property unique
Winfrith Newburgh is a good base for visiting surrounding areas, walking to Winfrith and Tadnoll heaths to spot local wildlife such as deer, rabbits, pheasants and many birds, jotting off to the coast without the use of the car, passing a few pubs on the way, cycling the many Purbeck pathways, horse riding though the beautiful coastal countryside or beaches, easy reach of Monkey World and the Tank museum, many historic town and their daily markets, all surrounding the Jurassic coast, and not forgetting the delights of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
