About this property

Charnwood

Charnwood is a comfortable, two-bedroomed cottage located in the pretty Cornish village of Lewannick. Sleeping four people, the cottage is an ideal base for families and couples wanting to explore the Cornwall coast and countryside. With all the accommodation on the ground floor, it's also a great choice for those with limited mobility.

Walking in through the front door, the hallway leads off to the kitchen, lounge, family bathroom and the two bedrooms - one with a king sized double and the other arranged as a twin.

The kitchen comes well-equipped for a self catering stay: There is a handy table seating four as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. All the amenities are provided for guests to cook up a feast.

The cosy living room has two comfy sofas and a lovely log burning stove which will keep guests toasty in the Autumn and Winter months. The large French doors in the lounge let the light in and they lead off to the patio and grassed garden area with its quirky Christmas tree planted in the centre. Please note the garden is not enclosed as it wraps around the house with no gates on either side while the garage contains owner's possessions and is off-limits to guests.

There is private off-road parking on the driveway for two cars.

Charnwood is situated in Lewannick which is a pretty village, a mile off the A30 road which runs through the heart of Cornwall making it very handy to access. The village itself has a shop and Post Office, a pub, church, doctor's surgery and garage. The property itself is situated on a quiet residential street and only a few hundred meters and a couple of minute's stroll from the centre of the village. The Archer's Arms in the village is a traditional pub serving hearty pub food.

The cottage is a perfect location from which to explore Cornwall from - further afield from the village guests will enjoy day trips to Tintagel and Port Isaac on the North Coast and Portwrinkle and Looe on the South Coast. For golfers, the local course at Trethorne Golf Club only 3 minutes up the road welcomes visiting players.
