Havana for Bicycles
Not only is this a great location right near the cathedral, it is gorgeous and well appointed apartment. Gianni, who met us at the apartment gave us tips for local businesses. We used these to hire bicycles from the Todisco Brothers and had an excellent meal of local dishes from Osteria Strabassotti.Hiring bikes and circling the city wall is a must. We did it twice, once on the inside and once on the outside. It only takes an hour or so depending on how many information boards and bars you stop at. There are no hills (as Gianni said “flat as the floor”) so a well maintained old fashioned bike will make you feel like a local. Loved it.

Schöne Ruheoase mitten in der Innenstadt
Das Appartement erlebten wir noch schöner als auf den Fotos, alles vorhanden mit wohltuend kühlender Klimaanlage in einem sehr heißen Sommer. Das Apartment ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt und Zwischenstation für Aktivitäten jeglicher Art. Leider stimmt das italienische Inserat nicht mit deutsch/englischer Übersetzung überein: Zum Apartment gehört kein Parkplatz! Der nächstgelegene öffentliche Parkplatz ist 10 min zu Fuß entfernt für ca. 4 Euro pro Tag. Die äußerst netten Gastgeber, Silvia und Gianni, kamen uns dabei sehr entgegen und halfen bei Ausladen und Parken. Die Sauberkeit von Küche, Kühlschrank und Bad entsprachen nicht ganz unserer Vorstellungen. Dennoch sehr zu empfehlen.
