Feel Discovery Alvim's Douro is a detached Douro valley villa, in the Douro region, in Folgosa – Armamar, with 3 bedrooms and a fantastic pool, in a privileged location with fabulous views over the river!

This villa is located just 11.5 km from Régua and 16 km from Pinhão and is the ideal retreat for a restful stay with family or friends.

Fully furnished and with an area of more than 250 m2, Alvim's Douro can accommodate up to 6 people in comfort. The house has 3 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, and also has a service bathroom, with free amenities at your disposal.

We'll have everything ready for your arrival, so you won't have to worry about bringing sheets or towels!

The property stands out for its large and bright divisions, such as the dining and living room, in open space, where you will be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the Douro River!

Fantastic

If you are looking for privacy, intimacy, secluded haven, very comfortable, and unbelievable beauty surrounding you, this is the place. Very good value. Best leg of our 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal

Incredible property with amazing views above the Douro River. Cruise ships going by below us all the time, obviously paying to see what we awaken to, and enjoy during the entire stay. Modern, first class, impeccable home with 3 king bedrooms with bath, all on the second floor with a walkout balcony deck. Overlooks the swimming pool and buried in the middle of the vineyard. Absolutely gorgeous! We were met immediately upon arrival by the owner of the home and vineyard, and after a tour of the house and property, he opened up the lower level of the home to his wine cellar, and he poured all of us, including our college girls, a 40 year world class Port to toast our arrival! So classy!! Beware: there is a narrow and very steep road leading up to the vineyard estate from the river that is actually pretty scary to people from Minnesota. The little village of Folgosa, just below, has a nice little local restaurant La Bamba for pizza and local fares, but right on the water is an acclaimed Michelin restaurant called DOC, where a cruise ship stopped, which we will definitely reserve next visit. We had a really fun day trip on the Douro that was beautifully arranged for us, which included a train ride along the Douro river, a private van tour of the region, one of the best lunches we had in Europe EVER, a 1 hour boat ride on the river to see many of the quintas, and a great tour of a world-renowned quinta (vineyard) with tasting. Truly a 5 star experience. Just do it!

Folgosa Douro Villa

Property is stunning set in a hillside overlooking the Douro River among grapevines and olive trees. Folgosa is a short drive from both Pinhao to the north and Regua to the south where both grocery and dining options were available. Our host was both gracious and welcoming. While our weather did not afford us the opportunity to utilize the infinity pool or the magnificent BBQ area, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend…rent a vehicle that climbs hills!

Douro Valley Oasis

What an amazing home in the Douro Valley!! The pictures don't even do it justice. Breath taking views. The home was very clean, and comfortable. Spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite full bathroom. We cooked each night and the kitchen was very well stocked. The pool was such a nice added bonus. Eurico was such a warm and inviting host.
