Wye Cottage was an exceptionally clean and comfortable house. Lots of china and cutlery to use in the kitchen, as well as pots and pans. Would have been lovely to stay in the summer to be able to use the garden table and furniture.

Comfortable and cosy
Wye cottage is a beautifully decorated and cosy cottage which was spotlessly clean upon our arrival.
It was well heated (essential for a chilly February break!) and had a well stocked kitchen in terms of crockery, cutlery etc.
We ran out of time to explore Holt other than to go to one of the pubs for a meal one evening but we had a lovely visit to Pensthorpe Natural Park and Cromer, both of which were only around 20 minutes drive away.
A couple of small things would make all the difference to this cottage: firstly, providing proper bath towels as the ones provided are only slightly bigger than hand towels. Also, having a decent supply of hand soap would be good. We’d bought one of our own, but for a 3 night stay didn’t want to buy more considering there are 5 sinks in the house. I think you’d expect there to be a decent supply of this given that it’s not a cheap option for accommodation. We also had an issue with the drainage in the shower in the master bathroom and had to keep stopping the water part way through which isn’t ideal. On our final morning the water overspilled and caused a small flood.

Dear Emily,
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Wye Cottage, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Norfolk.
Sorry to hear of the few issues you've mentioned, I can see by your booking nothing was brought to our attention especially in regards to the shower not draining properly. We do like to be given the opportunity to rectify any issues for you during your stay and we would have been more than happy to assist with this and get someone to look at this for you.
However all of our properties are individually managed by the owner so your feedback will be passed back to them to action anything as necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Norfolk again very soon Emily!

Highly recommended. Comfortable and relaxing.
A well-equipped and well-located property. We'd previously stayed at nearby Silver Birches on the same development, so we knew how well-placed we'd be for our favourite days out: National Trust properties, birdwatching at Cley and Pensthorpe, North Norfolk coastal towns. Wye Cottage had everything we needed for cooking and preparing food. Bed (top floor) was one of, if not THE most comfortable I've ever slept in. Lovely large bath on the first floor. Plenty of storage for the food we brought from home and bought there. Reliable heating and plenty of hot water make a newer property a good choice for a winter break! Very useful property folder. Honestly can't think of any negatives. We'd definitely book there again.

Good base for Holt
Plenty of room en suites a bit cramped and living room dark. Parking needs sorting outside occupied daytimes by builders.
Rude woman in adjacent property upset two twelve year old girls with us who dared to enter a grassed area outside. Site appears to have a lot of petty rules, so would not recommend for children. More signage needed outside.
