Cosy Carpenters Cottage in market town of Holt. Quiet & Secluded, parking, piano
Pretty Traditional North Norfolk Holiday Cottage with Piano, Parking and Pub 3 mins walk! Sleeps 1 or 2. Lovingly restored to the highest standard, this delightful, quiet and secluded cosy one bedroom traditional brick and flint cottage, probably dates back to the early 1800s. It is situated in the heart of Holt. Walk through the secret gate and you will see 8 Carpenters Cottage in an idyllic private courtyard setting. You will be taken back 100 years in time with all the comfort of home. Walk into Holt (2 minutes) and you will go back in time 40 years. Enjoy that homely feel, free wi-fi or just sitting out in the courtyard garden with a glass of white wine from the wine cooler! There is private off-road parking at the back of the cottage.
Open plan sitting room and kitchen with wooden floor, persian rugs and original local artwork.
Wonderful Colefax and Fowler fully lined curtains, wool carpets and oak beams and worktops.
Neff Electric cooker and Gas Hob. Even a separate Wine Cooler!
Dishwasher to make things easier for you.
Sony Smart TV & DVD in Sitting room. TV and DVD in Bedroom upstairs.
Staircase is wide with a good handrail on left. Not the usual tiny staircase in traditional Norfolk cottages!
Upstairs next to the bedroom - good sized size shower easy access.
Wonderful handmade Harrison mattress and oak bedstead.
TV/DVD in Bedroom.
Electric blanket with dual controls (in the Winter months).
Linen and towels supplied.
8 Carpenters Cottages is centrally situated in the pretty Georgian town of Holt which has a charm and character all of its own. Holt has many interesting independent shops, local fishmongers, green grocer, galleries, bookshops, antique shops and the famous Bakers and Larners department store with a separate food hall and wine merchant which celebrated its 250th year in 2020! You can enjoy the cafe life and watch the world pass by at the well known Byford's cafe. Coffee shops abound! You can relax, no need for a car, just walk everywhere and enjoy North Norfolk at its best. The King's Head Pub and Steak Bar is a 2 minute walk! Magpies Cafe and patisserie is wonderful and just round the corner. You can eat out on the pavement as well. Fresh bread. Takeout as well.

Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the area. This is a traditional brick and flint cottage and was a perfect project for me. Located in the centre of the beautiful market town of Holt where you feel you go back in time as soon as you open the hidden courtyard garden gate with parking, made No.8 unique. It is so peaceful. Lovingly restored the location makes a wonderful base to visit the North Norfolk Coast which is about 4 miles. National Trust properties nearby and Sheringham Park is stunning.
