Three newly decorated bedrooms to welcome you on your family ocean getaway or mini break with mates. Waffle station and Artesian coffee included to make for perfect start to each day or pop across to the cafe or restaurant less than 1 min walk or the bakery/4square also seconds away. Newly installed hot/cold outdoor rain head shower for after swim delight and an Electric Webber to have your evenings dining al fresco on the outdoor dining setting. Family friendly with travel cot and children's room with books, toys and board games and a waffle station with all the ingredients to enjoy each morning. A nice weekend at the beach

We stayed for 2 nights and the location is excellent. The beach, cafes and mini supermarket are very close. The hosts had left milk, bread and eggs also with a pantry with essentials. Would definitely stay again.

Great beach home!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The host provided bread, eggs, milk and so much more. We only wished that we could stay a little longer. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Cute cottage

Nice redecorated cottage with everything you need and more. A noisy neighbour woke us around 5.30am so not as relaxing as we’d hoped. Otherwise a lovely spot and great having a lovely eggs and toast breakfast there to use.

We had an amazing time! Great location, really nice house with fantastic breakfast options included - super well Equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice TV and sunny deck! We alsoLiked the compost option and only eco store products - good nz eco friendly company! First time in waitarere and hopefully not last time. Thanks to Rachel for being very easy to communicate with.

With dads 30+ years of local Horowhenua knowledge and love of hosting people/showing the best our favourite beach has to offer we are excited to welcome guests from both near and far to make special memories of their own here

Why they chose this property

Relaxed beach vibes, walking distance to cafe and shops, Foursquare and restaurant. 10 min walk to liquor centre, 5 mins walk to the surf club. Great forest walks/cycling 10 mins away as well.

15 mins drive to levin for bigger shops/large supermarkets and Trig walk (a must if you have time!)

5 mins drive off State highway 1
45 mins to Palmerston North Airport and Hospital
1hr 35mins to Wellington

Driving to the batch is a must as limited/no public transport available. Off street parking on driveway available.

Closest airport is Palmerston North

Once you arrive you can forget your car as everything is a few mins walking distance.

Waitarere is one of the very few beaches that you can drive on if mobility is difficult you can drive right to the waters edge

All brand new beds and linen for that great nights sleep with deluxe memory foam mattress in the master bedroom plus a range of style pillows to cater for every preference and high thread count sheets. (Linen and breakfast supplies with waffle station included in the price)

Ambient electric fire heater for cosy winter evenings. Big back yard for games in the sun. A large range of board games or Netflix on the smart tv for those rainy days.

Desk space for working remotely with high speed wifi perfect for video calls to extend that mini break or entertain the kids.

New bathroom with dual rainfall shower head/ adjustable paddle head to shower little ones. Eco store bathroom products.

Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher so no time lost on holiday doing dishes! Delicious rain water tank supply for nice drinking water.

Eco store products used in cleaning, keeping away the harsh chemicals and catering for sensitive skin and allergies. Minimal waste motto, compost collection and recycling encouraged.

Tree house in the front garden looking high over the house to the beach for a wine up high watching the sunset or exploring (use at own risk)

Off street parking for 3 cars plus fully fenced property with gates for security and peace of mind

5 mins walk to the surf lifesaving club for safe swimming, 3 minutes walk to Spiced tart restaurant and bar, 1 minute walk to On the Beach Cafe with great coffee and play area, 1 minute to Foursquare Supermarket with fantastic family baked pies, pizzas and coffee worth travelling for!

Wheelchair accessible ramp at back entrance that can be used if required please let me know in advance so we can help reconfigure the deck entrance when needed.

Newley installed outdoor hot/cold rain-shower for after the beach and an electric Webber bbq!
