The area is very characteristic with alleys, restaurants, street artists and is well connected with various bus and metro lines near the house which allow you to move comfortably both on foot and using public transport. Ideal for those who want to see and experience the atmosphere of the Eternal City.

Not what we were hoping

The listing looked much better online than in person. The flat was small and claustrophobic - not light and airy as in the listing photo. It is ground floor which meant the one small living room window opened straight onto the street, as did the one small bedroom window in the loft above. It was very noisy at night - the small stone street magnified sound and there were many passers-by and cars throughout the night (surprising given that it was not a through street). The bathroom was tiny and the shower was decrepit - it definitely needed a good scrub and new paint. To be fair, the couch was comfortable as was the bed. The location is excellent - close to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions; so if that is what you prioritize, then this may be ok for you. Overall we were disappointed and thought it was poor value for money and overall uncomfortable.
