Good location but not so welcoming as a place to stay
Good location with modern kitchen and attractive garden. Otherwise we were rather disappointed. Fireplace not cleaned before we arrived. There were dirty dishes and cutlery in the drawer which we had to clean. Living room sparse with uncomfortable couches for 2 people. Bedrooms plain and not very welcoming. Coffee machine didn’t work. Very limited supplies in the kitchen. We had to bring our own towels. Overall, a good place to base our vacation; poor value for money. We were happy to leave this morning.

Many thanks for your review which I find a bit surprising as we were in contact all week and nothing was mentioned other than the coffee machine which we have replaced.
The housekeepers left an unused log in the fireplace for you to use, I’m sorry if you felt this was unclean. Unfortunately they do not have time to check each piece of cutlery has been washed up properly by previous guests and I hope this did not cause too much of an issue. We have now found a supplier to provide towels, but being a self catering cottage we only provide the basics of tea, coffee, sugar and a few cupboard ingredients left by others, which was all explained to you in the details I send prior to arrival.
Rather worryingly you left the cottage unlocked when you left but fortunately the housekeeper attended later the same day.
Lovely property in great location for walking the coast, visiting Tintagel and St Nectan's Glen. Owner easy to contact and the free tea and coffee was very much appreciated.
Just what we were looking for, with everything exactly as described, a lovely house with lots of character, in a quiet rural location and within easy reach of the great Cornish coast and beaches!

Why they chose this property
I have family in Cornwall and fell in love with the area. When Halgabron Cottage came on the market we could not resist. Its picture perfect and so peaceful and relaxing.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is very close to the South West Coast Path which has some amazing walks in either direction. Up early for a 2-3 mile breathtaking walk, collecting pastries on the way home before the teenagers have even woken up, is a fantastic way to start the day!
