We come to this area annually and decided to rent a flat this time. 46B Percy Park did not disappoint. What a treat to wake up and have a view of the North Sea each morning!
The flat is in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and Tynemouth village center which has numerous shops, restaurants and pubs. The flat is also walking distance to other nearby towns, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay which boasts more restaurants and shopping and beaches.
We did not rent a car this time and used the public transportation. Plenty of bus stops just a stone's throw away from the flat. The metro in the village is in walking distance. It can take you right into Newcastle city center. From there you can catch a train to other areas of the UK (Scotland, Chester, London, etc)
The flat itself was spotlessly clean upon arrival. All amenities, linens, pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, appliances, etc. were all good quality.
Communication with the owners was excellent! A couple of days of settling in required some back-and-forth messaging with Sasha and her response was always prompt and courteous.
On the downside, the beds in the flat were not the most comfortable. With regard to the clothes dryer (listed on amenities) this is not a machine dryer but a clothes horse, however it adequately met our needs.
Overall, a very good place to stay and we hope to return.
Just a suggestion to the owners, it might be helpful to visitors who are not familiar with the area to have an informational book/binder on hand listing places to visit, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc.
