About this property
Comfortable 7-bedroom house with estuary views and parking
Please note this property allows a maximum of 10 adults.
Cotillion is a seven-bedroom house in the stunning seaside town of Salcombe centrally located on a quiet residential street, that can sleep up to 10 adults, 3 children and a baby in permanent cot.
About the property
A contemporary home, it sits on a hill and has three floors. There’s parking on the front drive for up to four cars. Enter the property into the hallway, where you will find storage for shoes and coats.
The hallway leads you to a downstairs WC as well as the first of two living rooms. This living area is spacious and comfy, with plenty of seating. Glass doors lead out onto a sizeable decking area with views across the top of town towards the estuary.
The kitchen has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with amenities including a large American-style fridge complete with separate wine storage. There’s a double hob and oven, as well as a sizeable, adjacent utility room and separate storage room. Like the living room, the kitchen opens straight out onto the deck, where there’s a gas barbecue and space to sit on warmer evenings.
Also, on the ground floor is the first of the bedrooms; a large double room with a stylish en suite shower, all decorated in pristine white. Head up a flight of stairs and you walk straight into a second living room, which is calm, cosy, and welcoming. This sits next to another double bedroom with a king-sized bed, lots of storage and an en suite bath with an overhead shower.
Up a separate set of stairs at the front of the property, you will find a bunk room with storage, a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, as well as another King bedroom, with more of those estuary views. There’s also a twin room complete with a large wardrobe and its own sink.
Up to the second floor and you will find a King room at the top of the house. It’s light, has lots of space and storage, with has estuary views on one side of the room, and views of the steep gardens behind the property on the other. There’s another family bathroom with a bath and electric overhead shower, and a kids’ room with a cot and child's bed.
Outside the back there’s space for hanging wetsuits and drying clothes, as well as side access to the decking area.
Recommended for: The house is perfect for families who want to be close to the centre of town but have space to retreat to and relax together.
Favourite feature: The decking area complete with barbecue and space to sit is perfect for alfresco lunches and morning coffees.
Need to know: The property is set over three floors and is located on a hill just a short walk from the centre of town.
About a holiday in Salcombe
Salcombe is a historic fishing and sailing town that has become famous as a holiday destination because of its natural beauty and its local charm. Blessed with more beaches than you can visit in a week, a jaw-dropping estuary and magnificent walks along the South West Coast Path, it’s also filled with local traditions. For example, there’s the Town Regatta, excellent sailing opportunities, its own gin and ice cream factories. You can’t leave without sampling the town’s unparalleled clotted cream fudge, visiting the magnificent bakery and restaurants such as Captain Flint’s and The Winking Prawn, which have practically become a rite of passage for visitors.
