About this property
Clifftop Cottage - A Seaside Sanctuary
Clifftop Cottage presents a charming two-bedroom semi-detached retreat nestled in the picturesque village of Auchmithie, near Arbroath.
Positioned right on the cliff's edge, (although you will have to venture outside to capture the best views - you won't want to miss out on them), this former fishing abode is a mere 30 meters from the beach access steps, with an array of clifftop pathways at your doorstep.
Inside, the accommodation is conveniently laid out on a single level, with the highlight being the impressive open-plan living area and kitchen. The space boasts a semi-vaulted ceiling reaching full roof height, adorned with exposed beams and two expansive VELUX windows, ensuring ample natural light even on overcast days.
A freestanding wood-burning stove adds warmth and ambiance, while a generously sized dining table beneath one of the roof windows offers a delightful setting for meals. For entertainment, a high-end Samsung Frame TV adorns the wall.
The cottage features two bedrooms - one double and one twin - both offering partial sea views over neighboring rooftops. The shower room is equipped with a walk-in enclosure featuring a rainfall shower head, ideal for rinsing off after beach adventures, with underfloor heating providing comfort during colder months.
Auchmithie is a haven for both humans and dogs alike, and Clifftop Cottage welcomes furry friends, providing dog bowls for their convenience. While the cottage doesn't have its own garden, a shared courtyard with neighboring properties offers a pleasant outdoor space. Nearby, public benches and a picnic table provide ideal spots to enjoy coffee or soak up the sun.
Following a thorough renovation, Clifftop Cottage now presents a blend of traditional charm with modern comforts. Guests can expect a well-appointed kitchen, luxurious bathroom, and tasteful furnishings throughout.
Facilities include:
Open-plan living room/kitchen with wood burner (logs provided)
Modern, well-equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, grill, washing machine, and dishwasher
Dining table and four chairs
Underfloor heating in the bathroom
Dog friendly
One double bedroom and one twin bedroom
