The location is fantastic, stayed two nights for a short break.

The location is fantastic, stayed two nights for a short break. Bed was comfy, so was the livingroom furniture. The house was clean and stock with essentials. It was a bit cold in the house, but there was a wee heater to use.

Sweet Hope was the perfect holiday accommodation for my family in a fantastic setting.

Sweet Hope was the perfect holiday accommodation for my family in a fantastic setting. The bungalow has wonderful views out to sea; a quiet, sunny garden (with a fab washing line!), is within a few minutes walk of a National Nature Reserve & wonderful walks. The bungalow is spacious, clean, well equiped, practical for outdoors, warm and peaceful. Thank you. We hope to return.

Lovely cottage, we loved the layout, views and the large garden, especially for our dog.

Lovely cottage, we loved the layout, views and the large garden, especially for our dog.We all had a great time, it's a beautiful part of Scotland. St. Cyrus and Luna Bay beaches were spectacular. Recommend the Cliff Path walk behind the church, views are outstanding (when the weathers nice!). If eating out, Roo's Leap in Montrose is worth a visit (although on the pricey side).Overall we had a great time.

We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t get the radiator on in the hall.

We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t get the radiator on in the hall. The owner came out but he couldn’t fix it. The ow era were very helpful. Other than that the house was lovely and well equipped. Beautiful large window in the lounge with views over Montrose. Great big garden which was good for our dog. The house is out in the back of beyond if that’s what you are looking for. Great relaxing holiday.

Located right next to the cliff side which makes for a stunning view.

Located right next to the cliff side which makes for a stunning view. Cottage was nice and comfy with everything I needed in it. I had an issue to begin with, trying to heat up the cottage as it was bitter cold. But once I managed to sort it out, the cottage was lovely and comfy. Bed was comfy. The big window in the living room was amazing as I could watch the sun rise and the sun set everyday. Was truly what I needed. The garden was huge which was great for my dog. She loved running around the garden with her ball. This was a major selling point for me as I have a very hyperactive labrador who needs the exercise and she took great advantage of that!I saw lots of wildlife around which was amazing to watch from the big window in the living room. Not much in the way of shops etc around other than a small Morrisons corner shop, next to the post office and no takeaways around so you would have to go into Montrose for those things. But it's not too far for a drive. There is a cliffside walk not too far from the cottage, albeit I never walked down the cliff to the beach as it was very steep, but there is a nice walk along the top of the cliff.I also went to the nature reserve which is about 5 minutes from the cottage and walked to the beach from there. Beach is huge and stunning to walk along. My only negative remarks about the cottage is the access through the gate from a single track road with a big car. I have a volvo xc40 which meant I really struggled to reverse my car into the driveway and my car was scratching off the bush and branches trying to turn into the drive. I eventually got in but it was a struggle. It put me off trying to get my car in and out such a small space. The only other thing I would say is it might be worth having a curtain to cover the front door and a blind in the bathroom. There is a draught from the door and windows which made the place cold and because I was staying on my own it was quite unsettling having windows uncovered that someone could look through them. However, that's just a minor thing. The views made up for the minor issues. The owner was very helpful and kind. She answered all my questions and was easy to contact if needed. She also left me some tunnocks teacakes and milk which was a great help because I forgot milk. All in all I would definitely stay here again!
