About this property

Prime walkable location-Luxuriously remodeled-Historic Eastside Casita & garden

FULLY RENOVATED yet FULL of Historic Charm and Character
Old world charm fused with new world style and comfort make this historic Santa Fe casita the ideal destination for your journey to "the city different". This well appointed 2 bedroom, 1 bath casita was built in the 1920's and was loved by the same family for four generations. On a native voyage to Santa Fe, we strolled up the historic Eastside just off Canyon Road and fell in love in 2017. We have kept the charm and culture of the original home with a fully renovated kitchen and bath to allow for comfortable accommodations while staying true to the charm of Santa Fe. The classic adobe architecture and original hardwood floors welcome you into the open living room with a Pottery Barn leather sleeper sofa and then continue into the dinning room with seating for 6. A breakfast bar with 2 additional seats looks into the fully renovated kitchen stocked with all the comforts of home. A master bedroom with a king sized bed and a flatscreen TV offers premium furnishings and beddings to ensure your comfort. The second bedroom offers a traditional casita experience with a full sized bed and cozy spaces, no closet but hooks and a luggage rack for convenience. The bathroom contains brick flooring, original new Mexican tile work with new world plumbing fixtures. The oversized rear garden is truly the star of the show complete with a large Chiminea (Mexican clay chimney) is furnished for year round enjoyment of Santa Fe's unprecedented sky in a private oasis just off the bustling historic plaza and celebrated Garcia Street.
Parking, although a premium in this central heart of Santa Fe, is provided for 2 small cars or one large vehicle.
Although rare with adobe construction and a very desirable year round climate. Central air conditioning, new furnace and new plumbing throughout was also installed in fall of 2021 to further ensure your comfort.

A secured wifi provides (although you are likely miles away from the stresses of daily life!) the convenience of staying connected while exploring, checking out and checking in during your trip to this exceptional location in the heart of the "land of enchantment". We look forward to sharing the magic of Santa Fe with you!

Santa Fe Treasure

What a beautiful place! Inside and out, just perfect. Peaceful, clean, with everything a person would need for several days of glorious Santa Fe to be perfect! After at least 30 trips to New Mexico over the years, this lovely place will remain vivid in our memories. Thank you for sharing your space with me and my children. It is truly a treasure.

Perfect place for our little family!

This casita was cozy for our family of 4 without feeling too crowded. We enjoyed a rainy evening playing games and still experiencing the feel of Santa Fe from inside this casita. Every detail seems to have been chosen with great care.

Cute little casita!

Convenient location, cute little house. The second bed and room is very tight for two people and would probably be better suited to one.

Beautiful Casita!

Everything was perfect. Very comfortable for two couples. Loved the back yard but wish we had been there during warmer weather to really enjoy it. I bet it's especially beautiful in the summer. Will definitely be back!

Spacious and comfortable casita in great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe in large part due to having all the comforts and conveniences you could ask for in a vacation rental. The Casita is well stocked and nicely located to access historic downtown as well as routes to side trips, restaurants and, of course, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. And the private garden was a nice way to relax with morning coffee or an afternoon break. We always enjoy Santa Fe; Garcia Casita made it a speacial stay. Thanks Stacie and Jad for a specail getaway vaca!

Simply wonderful!

I can't say enough about Stacie. She was not only responsive, but when we had to make a change, she cheerfully accommodated us. She also checked in on us once we arrived. The casita is darling, clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to Canyon Road. We had a lovely stay.

Charming casita

We enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely cottage. The location couldn't have been better, we hardly needed the car. We visited Canyon Road, plaza, and the farmer's market in the Railyard district all within walking distance to the rental. The house was fully equipped with nice amenities, backyard was nice to relax in a beautiful garden. Manager was extremely responsive. We will definitely return!

Home away from home

This home was perfect for our family. The house was beautiful, comfortable, charming, and in a great neighborhood. The location is perfect for walking around town. The house and neighborhood were VERY relaxing. We could not have asked for a better rental. Stacie was very responsive to any requests. It truly felt like home away from home! The yard was great for relaxing and enjoying the blue skies. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. Would highly recommend!

Gracia Casita

This is a perfect property for 2-4 people with a great location to all that Santa Fe has to offer. it is literally within walking distance to Downtown (10-15 Minutes) and only 10 minutes to Canyon road. The property has a beautiful fenced in private patio/garden area that provides a perfect place for a morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. The owner provided a great listing of things to do and restaurant to go to and all were spot on. The Casita has a well equipped kitchen, a grill, washer dryer and is well stocked with extra linens for your stay. Overall a great Santa Fe experience!

Perfectly Appointed Casita

This very cute casita was equipped with everything one could think of for the perfect stay. Much attention was given to cleanliness which for me is paramount for making any place a comfortable stay. This definitely gets high marks! It was located on a very quiet street in a very nice neighborhood and walkable to downtown. We had fun relaxing in the fenced in backyard for coffee in the morning and with a cocktail after long days of sightseeing. The area is so beautiful with so much to do that we already know we will return and would definitely rent this gem again. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!!

Christmas in Santa Fe

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at the Eastside Casita over the Christmas holiday. Location is excellent, just down the street from Downtown Subscription for coffee and walkable to Canyon Road and the Plaza. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. The second bedroom is small, so works well for kids but probably too tight for adults to share. There is a large and lovely backyard that would be great to enjoy in the warmer months for grilling. The TVs could use an update to HD service, but you're not in Santa Fe to sit around watching TV anyway. We loved our stay at the casita and would not hesitate to stay there again on another visit.

Serenity in Santa Fe

The historic ambiance of this casita was obvious from the start! The beautiful carved front door was a sign of the quaint and authentic southwestern architecture that welcomed us when we walked in. This is a small and cozy place. Just enough room for the two of us to enjoy a long weekend to Santa Fe and take in the art galleries that were literally just steps away from the casita. We did a lot of take-out and it was wonderful to have a dedicated off-street parking space (we noticed that parking is a premium in this historic part of the city). The amenities and special touches in this property show how much the owners care about ensuring we had a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated having bath products to use - the little things make a BIG difference. My favorite part of the entire trip (other than the incredible food at Cafe Pasqual's) was sitting on the back patio playing a game of Scrabble. There is a nice collection of games available to play and it was so nice to "unplug" and enjoy the beautiful back garden. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Serenity in Santa Fe... is how I would describe this unique and special place.

Nice location

This east-side casita has a lot of personality and the back yard is very, very beautiful. The second bedroom is a bit short on space and has no closet, which means you have to use the closet in the master bedroom (just so you are aware). But there are many positive things that offset this. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. The location is quite good. With that said, some people may find they need to drive to the plaza, but some will be able to walk it. Canyon Road is quite close to the casita. In general, many residential areas in Santa Fe can be challenging to walk in because many streets do not have sidewalks, but as long as you do not have mobility issues, it is a pleasant place to walk around in. You do need to be careful however. The cars speed by, probably faster than they should. The furnishings of the house are lovely and very Santa Fe. Parking was no problem for my Subaru. You do need to wheel the garbage bins across the street once a week. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would return there.
