Welcome to La Nouvelle—an intimate retreat on the wild west coast of São Miguel Island. As part of Canto do Mar, a boutique property with three independent homes, your stay offers a deeply personal experience where the ocean is always within sight.

Inside, soft, natural light fills the bright and inviting living spaces, highlighted by high, wood-beamed ceilings and clean, contemporary decor. The home was thoughtfully designed for tranquility and comfort, creating a seamless connection to the stunning natural surroundings.

Absolute Magic! An Unforgettable Azorean EscapeOur stay at La Nouvelle (part of the beautiful Canto do Mar property) was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the sweeping, panoramic views of the Atlantic. The house is elegantly designed, filled with soft, natural light, and the perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional island charm.The two bedrooms were incredibly serene with high-quality, cozy linens, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our absolute favorite part was the private terrace. We spent every evening out there, after our daily treks across the island, enjoying a glass of wine while watching the waves.The location in Mosteiros is unbeatable. It’s a peaceful village, and we loved being just a short walk from the natural volcanic swimming pools, the black sand beach, and great little local seafood spots. It was also the perfect base camp for exploring Sete Cidades and Ferraria.A huge thank you to Samuel and the Azorian Butler team! They were discreet, highly attentive, and gave us wonderful local recommendations. The self-guided check-in was seamless, and the shared coastal garden was such a tranquil retreat. If you want a place where time slows down and you can truly connect with the ocean, this is it. We cannot wait to return!

Une magnifique vue

Nous avons séjourné en famille 5 jours au mois d’Aout 2023 dans la maison La Nouvelle. La vue sur l’océan est magnifique, une route passe juste en dessous mais n’est pas bruyante et ne se voit pas depuis la terrasse. Nous avons pu profiter du siège suspendu pour regarder l’océan en fin de journée. Le logement est globalement bien équipé. 2 salles de bains bien pratiques. Notre fille a dormi dans le salon sur le canapé lit. La maison est située à 10min du centre ville à pied et 5 min de la plage surveillée et des piscines naturelles. Ne pas louper les caipirinhas dans les 2 bars de plage juste à côté! seul petits bémol : si vous avez le sommeil léger comme moi, le bruit du vent qui s’engouffre dans le toit peut être très gênant (pensez aux boules quies ) le second est la présence de fourmis un peu envahissantes dans la cuisine! Nous recommandons ce joli lieu, de plus l’équipe de Azorean butler est très réactive si vous avez la moindre question!

Logement très bien situé, avec une belle vue sur la mer. Équipé au juste nécessaire. Dommage la pelouse n était pas tondu à notre arrivée, nous avons du signaler des ampoules grillées( changer rapidement). La literie pour nous est trop molle.
