Ok but inaccurate advert

Overall nice apartment in nice location at decent price. However there were some problems that other renters should be aware of. On the website there is no mention of a €30 fee if you check in after 6pm. It also states there is parking, but this is not on premise and you need to find somewhere on the very busy nearby streets. We had to park 400 metres away. The apartment is poorly equipped with old stained towels, no tea towels, no wine glasses, only 2 coffee mugs and some cheap/missing kitchen utensils.

Still no maintenance

We're sorry to say that since Isabelle has given her review in April nothing(!) has changed. It's a modern and well sized appartment in a new and clean building but nobody cares for it at all. There were still only half of the light bulbs working or existing at all. The frontdoor couldn't be locked properly. The fridge was dirty and smelling from the rests of the food of former guests. The furniture was okay but the equipment was a shame, rather old second hand stuff. We bought new water glasses because there was only a free selection of old and scratches ones. We asked for wine glasses, for a clothes horse - no answer. How can one use a washing machine or dry beach towels when there is no proper clothes horse? We had to ask for any(!) kind of necessary(!) information (incl. address). The "car park on the property" mentioned is a small public one at a main street between restaurants, shops, and high-rise buildings. So: Take your time when searching for a parking space. The shown sunshade doesn't exist. It could be a very nice appartment - if just somebody cared for it.

Large apartment, needs maintenance

We were met at the apartment by the owner’s mother. Communication was difficult as doesn’t speak any English and isn’t familiar with Google translate. The positive: large apartment, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and 1 powder room. All appliances are modern, good coffee machine, large balcony. Located on the first floor of a building with elevator. The bedding was clean. The negative: it was very dirty, if we hadn’t paid for 8 nights, we would have left. My husband spent 4 hours scrubbing and cleaning the apartment so that it could be used. I wish we could add pictures to this review as we have lots. The owner was unresponsive and said that she wasn’t responsible for the state of the apartment. At checkout, her mother came to inspect the apartment for damage and she showed us the spray bottle that is used to disinfect the air after a guest leaves. That’s all fine but someone still has to scrub the shower stall and sweep the floors. The apartment needs some maintenance, there was only one working lightbulb in the dining room light fixture and no light at all in the powder room, until we bought and installed one. The beds are uncomfortable and there are no mattress pads on the mattresses. But on the plus side, the next few guests should enjoy a cleaner apartment. This apartment has so much potential, the owner just needs to get a better cleaner and perform some rudimentary maintenance. I wish them the best.

Appartement niet van binnen gezien

Laat ik beginnen met het feit dat ik over het appartement zelf niets kan zeggen. Ik ben namelijk niet verder gekomen dan buiten het gebouw. Feit is dat het appartement niet ligt op de plek dat op de site en de app van Vrbo wordt aangegeven. Zelfs niet in de grote cirkel op de kaart. Het ligt in de zeer drukke wijk vlak buiten die cirkel. Dat betekent ook dat parkeren tot de onmogelijkheden behoort en de 'voorziening' parkeerplaats is dan ook misleidend. De moeder van de eigenaresse die met de sleutels aankwam sprak geen woord Engels en de eigenaresse zelf nauwelijks. Via de telefoon van de moeder contact gehad met de eigenaresse over het feit dat we de auto niet kwijt konden, terwijl de advertentie suggereerde dat dat wel het geval was. Wij konden dan ook onmogelijk blijven want waar moet je met de auto heen en al je bagage. Als compromis wilde ik dan 1 nacht blijven en het probleem met de auto accepteren, maar daar wilde zij niet aan. Op een gegeven moment duurde het de moeder te lang en ging zij gewoon weg. Zij stond nl ergens dubbel geparkeerd en het was haar kennelijk ook te link. Dus daar stonden we dan. Vrbo gebeld en na lange gesprekken werd ons beloofd dat we ons geld terug zouden krijgen. Maar wel nog eerst voor 4 dagen onderdak zien te zoeken. Heel vervelend als je dat na een lange reis nog moet doen. Vrbo bleek vervolgens opeens minder happig om het geld terug te storten, maar na een paar weken is dat toch gebeurd. Heel vervelend allemaal.
