The Neighborhood:
This pretty town is well known for its Friday food, flower and craft markets, and farmers' markets on the first Saturday of each month. Stokesley Agricultural Show is held every year on the third Saturday in September, attracting visitors from all over the country. With everything from dog shows to handicrafts and delicious local delicacies on offer, it's well worth a visit.
Stroll to the east end of the town for a spectacular view of Roseberry Topping and the North York Moors, and admire the ancient mill wheel that resides there. Then, just a few yards away, discover a panorama of buildings and open spaces as you enter the town centre. From here, you can explore Stokesley Manor House at the eastern end of Market Square, and discover the Church of St Peter and Paul, with its famous mouse woodwork carved by the "Mouseman" of Kilburn!
Many quality independent shops create a friendly lively experience for those who regularly visit the town or for newcomers seeing what is on offer for the very first time. The market Place would still be familiar to Captain Cook, Yorkshire’s famous son should he be visiting today.
Small snickets reveal other businesses including teashops, gifts, home furnishings and other hidden gems.

Our stay at Rose cottage was wonderfull just what we needed. It was tucked just off the High Street so we had all we needed on our door step but very quite.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Rose Cottage and the location. We are glad that we had everything you needed during your stay. We would love to host you again.
Very enjoyable stay in a surprisingly roomy terraced property. Quiet location yet very close to centre of Stokesley. High standard of cleaning and equipment. Our only issues were directions to the property, key in the wrong place and a microwave problem. We believe all of these points are being addressed.

Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to host you at Rose Cottage, thanks for being a great guest. I do apologise about the problems you had faced during your stay, these have been addressed. We would love to host you again!
Property was very clean and had all the facilities required for a pleasant stay.
Booking of property was confusing due to both parties offering damage waivers - started the stay off on wrong foot as paid both. Although, the property itself helped dilute this additional payment.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we apologise the waiver wasn't made clear to you. Glad to hear you had a great stay and we would love to welcome you back soon!
A lovely roomy property, like a tardis with lots of hidden corners with plenty of room for a family with teenagers. So nice to find a property that isn’t just double beds as my kids won’t share! It’s in a great location in the village just round the corner from an amazing chippy. Also great for exploring the local area; Roseberry topping is just down the road, as is Osmotherley and even the coast. Loved our stay and would book again.
