Why they chose this property
Totnes has a thriving community and is the principle town of the stunning South Hams with it’s rolling countryside. Sitting on the picturesque River Dart, river cruises can be taken from Totnes to Dartmouth and the steam trains of the South Devon Railway travel alongside the River Dart between Totnes and Buckfastleigh.
The South Hams is blessed with an abundance of great food and drink producers. Highly regarded restaurants, cafes, bars and a brewery are within walking distance.
If architecture and history are of interest, St Mary’s Church, The Guildhall, Castle, Museum and historic High Street are all at hand. Totnes is the 2nd oldest borough in England and per capita, it contains more historic and Listed buildings than any other English town.
Other local attractions include Dartington Hall Estate which has a stunning house, listed gardens, cinema, cafe and shops, Agatha Christie's Greenway House, Berry Pomeroy Castle, Dartmouth, Dittisham and Tuckenhay.
