The access to the apartment is by a luxurious independent staircase leading to the vestibule, illuminated by a typical mullioned window.
From here you enter a large room-study-library with comfortable sofas and satellite TV.
Continuing, we find a bright dining room embellished by the Doge (the iconic table of the great architect Carlo Scarpa) and open onto a well-equipped kitchen.
The corridor leads to two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, one with a shower. Also from the corridor leads to the walk-in closet in front of the 2 double bedrooms with very high ceilings and to the staircase that goes up to the attic where there are 2 single beds; it is lit from above by a large electric skylight.
Red House is suitable for families and groups of friends.

The location absolutely cannot be beat. The check-in process, the walkability, and everything was wonderful. We will absolutely be back on our next trip to Venice.
We had a wonderful two nights in Venice! The apartment is close to everything, including gelato, restaurants, and activities. Murano glass just around the corner and of course the gondolas and canals. Very clean, nice bathrooms, great space for 5 adults. There are even some cards and puzzles and spaces to relax. Cannot say enough great things about it! Venice is lovely! Thank you
This was the best VRBO stay we have had! The apartment was gorgeous - the pictures do not do it justice - it was spotlessly clean, and the communication with the staff exceptional. They helped us in every way possible, including arranging water taxi's from the airport which was a high point for our teen sons. . The small canal in which this apartment was located was charming yet very quiet. There were wonderful restaurants within a few steps, as well as a grocery store. The area itself was a short walk to many of the attractions in Venice. Highly recommend.
Perfect location out of the crowd with easy access to San Marco and vaporettos. Spacious apartment with beautiful main room. Recommend water taxi to and from the airport for door to door experience and a nice overview. Unattended check/not waiting around (although host had good communication) would have enhanced the experience, still 5/5 overall
This was a perfect place for our family to stay over Christmas. It was in a great location! It was clean and well stocked! They even had a Christmas tree!! The only trouble we had was we couldn’t get the oven to heat! We enjoyed our time there and made many wonderful memories.
The property was great and as described. We loved the living area with the library.
The location was amazing. 15 min tho St. Marks but far enough away to have a neighborhood feel. Close to art museums.
My family of five was very comfortable in this vrbo. The location was perfect and the home was beautiful. Very tidy and clean. That being said- the home was not well stocked. There were no paper towels or napkins and only one dish towel. When I requested a second dish towel, they said no. There was a significant leak in the kitchen and we had to continually clean it as they couldn’t get maintenance out for 2 days after we checked out. We used our towels for showering to clean it up and no other towels were provided. They didn’t thank us for helping or even apologize for the leak. It’s worth noting that my family has 3 properties in Florida so we were surprised at some of the accommodations and lack of help with supplies and communication. Overall we would recommend the property to others, but encourage them to bring their own coffee, paper towels and basic essentials.
Love the apartment, great style, nice neighborhood, lots of space. My son is studying architecture and he found a lot of very interesting books there. We’ll love to visit again.
Very nice…..roomy VRBO. Especially for our family of four. Location was great and off the beaten path but within walking distance of everything. Would rebook it in a heartbeat!!
We were only in Venice for a couple of nights and this apartment was wonderful in every way. Great location if you don't want to be with noisy tourists, yet well within walking distance of everything. We highly recommend the apartment and would definitely stay here again.
We stayed 2 nights as a family of 5. This apt is huge. It has a lot of character and space for everything. It is also easily accessed from the water bus and is walking distance from everything. We felt like we were really getting the Venice experience while there. Communication was great and we were greeted right on schedule. If we ever make it back to Venice we will definitely try to stay here!
This is our third trip to Venice and the Red House was by far our favorite place where we've stayed.
The property was spacious, well laid out and unique. The location is great. The neighborhood is full of life but not touristy. You are a few steps from cafes, groceries, restaurants and the Academia water bus stop.
Lovely property. Easy check in and good hosts. Wish the kitchen had plates / bowls / cups. Only thing it had was utensils and wine glasses so we had to get our own for the duration of the stay.
Communications with property manager were excellent. Checkin process was on time and thorough. The location of this property was perfect! 15 minute walk to San Marco Sq. Just outside the busier areas of the city. The perfect spot for our family of 5!
The nice and charming appartement is the perfect location to explore Venice. We all liked the area and felt very comfortable in the spacious rooms. The bathrooms were clean and ok but might need a little renovation.
We appreciated a lot that an early check-in was made possible. The check-in itself was easy.
We booked the house via "FeWo-direkt" (HomeAway). The only thing I found confusing was, that I was contacted by different organisations (FeWo-direkt, Ask Timmy, The Venice Neighbours, Red House by Enrico,...) via E-Mail, What'sApp and Telephone and it seemed that the information did not always reach the right person.
In the end, all worked out perfectly, thank you for a wonderful stay!
My family(our kids are 5 and 2) stayed in late March and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were able to sleep with the windows open and let in the cool breeze and wake up to the boats moving through the canal. There are many restaurants in walking distance and major sights are a short boat ride away. Our family loved the home and would return in the future. Alessandra and Salvatore are very responsive and kind. They made our first trip to Venice extra special.
