💧 WATER HEATER – PLEASE READ
In France, water heaters (boilers) operate differently than in many other countries. The hot water is stored in a tank and can run out if used excessively. It takes 1 to 3 hours for the tank to refill and heat again, depending on its size.
🔹 We kindly ask you to avoid long showers or baths unless you're the last person using the bathroom and can wait until morning for it to refill.
This is a normal part of life in France, so we thank you for your understanding and mindfulness.
⚡ ELECTRICITY SYSTEM – USE WITH CARE
France uses a limited electricity system, and if too many appliances (like a hair dryer and microwave) are used at the same time, the breaker may trip. If this happens, you'll need to manually reset it at the fuse box.
🔌 Please avoid overusing multiple devices at once — this system is designed to reduce energy consumption and is very common in French homes. We ask that you only use what you need.
