If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in the beautiful Italian lakes, this airy apartment is the perfect destination. On the first floor of Villa Fiorita, a charming house which has been converted into 4 attractive apartments, Apartment Ortensia sleeps 4 people. It is in a quiet area, only 2 minutes from Lake Garda, but close to all the amenities you might want.

The L-shaped living area is full of light and has a comfortable sofa, with a flat-screen TV and desk which makes a good workspace. There is a dining table for 4 people and a modern kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer and moca coffee pot.

There is a spacious balcony with a table and chairs for casual outdoor dining.

Sleeping:
Bedroom: The airy master bedroom has a double bed, a large wardrobe and large French windows which open onto the sunny balcony.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed

Bathroom:
The modern bathroom has a full bath with a shower head, basin, bidet and WC.

The apartment combines the best of both worlds: peace and quiet but within easy reach of Brema Beach, local shops and cafés. For dog owners, there is even a dog park 3 minutes away.

The town of Sirmione can be reached in 5 minutes by car, while the lovely Desenzano del Garda is only 12 minutes away. For self-catering Sirmione market takes place on Monday and Friday (mornings only). This is the ideal place to pick up the very best local ingredients.

Visitors of all ages can spend a fun-filled day at one of the nearby theme parks (Gardaland and Movieland, 30 minutes). There are also windsurfing schools close by on the lake and a boat hire centre just 10 minutes away.

Verona Villafranca airport is only 35 minutes by car.

Die Wohnung liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend von Sirmione. Ausstattung der Wohnung für 2 Personen perfekt. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Verona, Mailand und Venedig. Durch die Nähe zum See, zu Fuß maximal 5 Minuten, ist auch ein Strandurlaub problemlos möglich. Besonderen Dank noch an die Verwalterin Manuela für die tatkräftige Unterstützung.

Bedingt empfehlenswert

Die Unterkunft war bis auf ein paar technische Mängel (Badezimmerfenster ließ sich nicht richtig öffnen bzw. schließen / Wasserflecken im Schlafzimmer/ Abfluss vom Küchenwaschbecken undicht) absolut in Ordnung. Einziger Mangel war das Schlafsofa. Das mag für Kleinkinder in Ordnung sein, aber für Teenager absolut unbrauchbar. Wir hatten die Matratzen schließlich auf den Boden gelegt, damit unsere Kinder es gemütlich hatten. Auch die Ausstattung der Küche war sehr spärlich, aber ausreichend. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir aber sehr zufrieden, obwohl wir bei einem nächsten Besuch lieber einer der anderen Wohnungen nehmen würden, da deutlich bessere Schlafmöglichkeiten

Urlaub mit schlechtem Geruch

Wo soll ich da anfangen? Vielleicht wirklich am Anfang: Begrüßung per Email und WhatsApp. Tolle Wegbeschreibung und überraschend gut mit dem Schlüsselsafe. Leider keine persönliche Begrüßung, aber gut. Muss ja nicht sein. Zumindest, wenn alles passt. Aber dann ging es los mit einem richtige üblen Geruch in der Wohnung. Zuerst dachten wir noch, dass die letzte Reinigung der Wohnung, besonders des Bades, gefehlt hat und ein Tier in der Wohnung verendet ist. Die Armaturen, Ausstattung und der Spiegel sind einfach uralt. Wir haben die Reinigung reklamiert und die arme Reinigungskraft hat uns richtig leid getan, weil die kann echt nichts dafür. Dann kam die chemische Keule gegen den Geruch im Bad. Leider hat das nur bis Abends gehalten. Irgendwie gewöhnt man sich ja an alles. Aber das war grenzwertig. Eine leichte Linderung hat gebracht, alle Abflüsse mit Wasser zu bedecken. Als wenn ein Siphon fehlten würde und direkt der Kanal … Die Markisen auf dem Balkon konnten nicht ausgefahren werden, weil der Besitzer das nicht will und sicherheitshalber die Kurbel entfernt und den Elektromotor vom Strom getrennt hat (?). Es war brütend heiß und wir wurden mit Ausreden hingehalten, bis wir von anderen Mietern die Wahrheit erfuhren. Sehr empfehlenswert. Na ja, vielleicht im Winter. Beim essen auf der Terrasse wundernden wir uns schon die ersten Tage über penetranten Wespenbesuch, bis wir dann auf ein Wespennest unter dem Esstisch gestoßen sind. (Danke an K. von Happy Rentals, der sich darum gekümmert hat). Die Tischdecke, die daraufgelegt war, spottet jeder Beschreibung und musste sofort weichen. Dabei kommt ein Tisch zum Vorschein, der nur notdürftig mit ein paar Spax repariert. Die Küchenausstattung würde ich vorsichtig als einfach bezeichnen. Nur der Gasherd ist richtig gut. Auf den Balkon geht es nur durchs Schlafzimmer - ist jetzt nicht optimal, wäre aber auch nicht wirklich schlimm. Im Kontext aber passt es zum negativen Gesamteindruck. Und die Geschichte mit den Garagen… Meiner Beschreibung nach soll ich einfach in die Garage fahren. Blöd bloß, dass zwei Garagen für vier Wohnungen. Da ist ein intensiver Austausch notwendig. Oder man akzeptiert einen öffentlichen Parkplatz, der zugegeben in Rufweite ist. Zu meinem Glück war bei unserer Ankunft die in der Beschreibung ausgewiesenen frei und die war klein, aber gut. Die andere stand dann leer, da ein anderer Mieter sich sein Auto demoliert hat, weil es sehr eng um eine Ecke ging. Es gäbe noch mehr …
